You're my kinda friend.
My kinda pal.
We've both been through suffering.
We've both been through hell.
We'll always have eachother,

She Dances
Michael Feb 2021
She dances in the glory.
She dances in the light.
She dances in the morning,
and all throughout the night.
In the glowing of the ballroom,
the angels even dance
with the Mother of Creation,
made by the Father's hands.

She dances in the starlight.
She dances for the moon.
She dances 'round the sun,
as it brightens up the room.
She dances in the glory.
She dances in the light.
She dances in the morning,
and all throughout the night.

A & N D I & E
Michael Nov 2021
Her name, it starts with A
and N D I and E.
It's my favorite word to say,
it sounds like CANDY.
And L O V and E,
it sounds so lovely.
But it's nothing quite like A
and N D I and E.

Gotta Wash the Dishes
Michael Aug 2022
I left my wallet at home!
Oh No!
I left my wallet at home!
The meal is almost done,
and so,
any second will come the bill!
For real!  Uh-Oh!
I left my wallet at home!
The waiter doesn't seem impressed.
He's suddenly very annoyed.
"You left your wallet at home?" he asks.
"Then consider yourself employed."
Always gotta check them pockets.

Do What We Do
Michael Sep 2021
No one ever means to do what they do.
They'll say they had no choice, that resistance is futile.
When you're no longer here, it won't matter what you knew,
cause the meaning is defined just by what you do, 'till
you're layin alone in the coffin you nailed.
When you're life is gone that ship has been sailed.

Embrace the Mistake
Michael Nov 2021
It's how I escape.
It's like a rollercoaster ride
that doesn't stop.
It's been getting higher.
It's getting ready to drop.
Now I'm stuck and I'm sittin,
I can only wait.
There's no escaping from escaping,
so just embrace the mistake.

The Lady & the Ladle
Michael Oct 2021
The lady and the ladle,
if she sees you waste your food,
she'll raise her ladle way up high,
and then chase after you.
That lady with that ladle.
No don't you turn your back.
She'll creep right up behind you,
whenever you sneak a snack -
and WHACK!!
You'd almost think it's fatal,
that wooden spoon with stained tomato.
"Eat that at the table!"
yells the lady with the ladle.
Just stay out of her way.

Your Face is Like the Sun
Michael Feb 2021
The leafs start off new.
So green, then yellow bright,
as they dampen with the dew
in the middle of the night.
Everything so beautiful
reflects from high above;
An everlasting circle
'round a thing called Love.

The moon, it plays its part,
and gives us a little light;
The sun displays the art,
and brings it all on back to life.

The mountains stand so high,
and glisten at their tops,
as they mesmerize the eyes;
even where it drops.
Around its peak a ray of light
the morning sun would bring,
as if the Universe itself
is one great wedding ring.

The moon, it plays its part
and gives us a little light;
The sun brightens out the dark,
and saves us from the night.

There you stand as I
sing this song to you;
Your face is like the sun.
Your eyes, they are like the moon.
Your finger's like the peak
of a mountain that I'd feared...
but that was just a blink
before the morning sun appeared.

The moon, it plays its part,
but it doesn't show us much,
as the sun displays the art
of all we can see and touch.
In the moonlight we are dark,
and that's alright.  You see,
you're the sunlight of my heart,
and you're everything to me.

Fabric and strings,
I'm sick of these things
that smother my face
and muzzle my screams!
What are these things
I hate you might ask?
Just give me a match,
I'll burn up my mask!

I Want to Stay Awake
Michael Jul 2021
I can't fall asleep, I'm too wired.
Guess I will when I'm exhausted and expired.
As of now this choice I make,
I just want to stay awake.
I don't want to fall asleep.  I'm not tired.

Watching movies as I binge-watch constantly.
Staring glued, eyes wide and fixed to my tv.
And as I'm drawn into its screen,
I finally find myself a dream.
I don't want to be disturbed.  Just let me be.
Insomnia ***** if you're bored.

At the End of Sorrow
Michael Feb 2021
As the world turns
and the sun is dying,
we can only mourn,
as we keep on trying.
Denying that we're doomed,
as the world suffers,
and hope it's one day made new,
to wake and take off these covers!

But it's no dream, it's real!
I know what I see and feel!
And with the world at war,
it's just ourselves that we ****!

And as it seems it's done,
and that the curtain is drawn;
Once the temple's collapsed,
the spirit is gone -
To the far and beyond,
at the end of sorrow.
Where true peace is found,
I'll be there tomorrow!

At the exit of sorrow!
At the end of hate!
Right at the gates of Love,
that's where Mercy waits!

There was this guy
who'd gone to see his brother.
It'd been a month,
but they still missed eachother.
They liked to eat,
their hunger had no measure,
'till the guy said,
"I've gotta watch my blood pressure."

And so his brother replied,
"You'll be alright.
Just take a note from me.
And sit on down,
so I can tell you a couple things.

and it's still hot,

All the pains that life may bring might ******* you, yes they'll sting.
Together with your love you will mend eachother's wounds.
In happiness forever, 'till the day there ain't no more blues.
You'll always be together to keep alive both your "I do"s.

Pen
If a pen was shaper than
a sword that's made of steel,
would we understand,
or use that pen to ****?
If a word could shatter bone
as it could break a heart,
would we leave that word alone,
or carve those cursed marks?
If a war was fought for peace
that none could ever win,
would the crows all share a feast
on another day again?
If a mind was brighter than
a brain designed to ****,
could a heart be stronger then
the power of its will?
If a pen was sharper than
a sword that's made of steel,
would we understand,
and use that pen to heal?
Michael Dec 2022
You said, "On the double!"
But I got in trouble,
because I did not get there in time.
Now I'm in my bubble.
In time-out I mumble,
"Someone pinched me,
so I started to wine."

Wasting away again in time-out until,
I've learned my lesson,
I forgot what about.
I tell mom and dad that there's
sister to blame!
But they say "No!"
That it's my own fault.

Passion.  Just imagine you have some.
Try and fathom..
Light up a lantern to brighten the phantoms,
lest you fall into the grave of a
deep, dark, cold cavern.
When the torches are lit,
may the shadows be scattered.
If you're lost in the darkness,
may you break from these patterns.
The fire you need's been burning always.
Passion's the fire that guides all our ways.

Unending
Michael Feb 2021
There are forces that can't be stopped.
Endless eternal spinning that can't be reversed.
Eyes of the past that can't see the future.
Would they know what they miss?
Home.  Home is a place in the heart.
The greatest thing we all have in common.
Home.  Where peace and love resides.
There should never be hate.
Though, sometimes it finds its place.
It can't be helped, if not for Grace!
Not mine.  I could only destroy it.
Even if my intentions are good.
There are forces at work I can't comprehend.
Where's the spinning circle start?
Was it made, or is it always?
There's a good answer for that.
In time.  Life is absorbent of everything,
with every emotion conveyed from birth to death.
In one's own mind, his thoughts shape his being.
Imagine how many pages have been scribed
since the day the art was born.
To write one's own thoughts.
Imagine a book that shared the secrets of life.  Of the cosmos entirely, and beyond.
There are just some forces that can't be stopped.
And Love is the calming wave of an endless and angry ocean.

How I see War
Michael Mar 2022
War serves a selfish desire to conquer,
or a righteous cause to defend.
For what good is blood spilt to gain more,
while blood is poured out to keep what's sacred?
War is sadness at its saddest.
With utter madness built up with complete hatred,
blinded from the differences of our kin.
History repeats itself again.

Hate is Ours
Michael Feb 2022
Anger eats the heart, blinds the mind,
Kills the soul, dulls our shine.
Founded from the dust of the ground,
our echoes' never are silenced.
Our minds can never be sound in hate.
We know we are slaves, for release we await..
Dealing with this grief that we bury,
Chained to the coffins we carry.
Voilence seems the only road.
War's the only way to change this world..
or so we've been told.
We like to think we're knocking on Heaven's Door,
but sadly I can see that we're not anymore..
Keeping our hopes impailed..
Hammering down our nails.
There's a light at the end of the long dark run.
A fire that's been since it all begun.
He made the worlds and stars,
with Love,
so hate is ours.

A Beautiful Irony
Michael Apr 2022
Light that falls like dust.
Blown into particles of brilliant colors,
to show the beating of our booming hearts.
Like magic they sprinkle the world
with beauty and hope.
It's as if for one night the stars themselves
bring forth the wonders of our universe for
  only a few passing moments.
I stare at them as they burn their mark of memory,
and ponder the irony.
That something so virtuous could be used
  so violently.
That greed, distrust, and continuous fuss,
could one day leave this world in a crater of dust.
Danger!   Keep out of hands of children.
Yet children we are.  All of us.

To all who's in doubt, and full of sorrow.
There's none guaranteed today,
  nor tomorrow.

Tired.  Alone.  Dried up.  Stone.
Small.  Grown.  Alive.  Bones.
Spring.  Trees.  Glow.  Alive.
Winter.  Freezing snow...  Survive.
Gone.  Renewed.  Different.  Trust.
Alive today.  Tomorrow, dust.
Resurrected.  Remade.  Restored.
Reborn.
Imperfected.  Ashamed.  Scorned... Torn.
Chains.  Money.  Drugs.  ****.
Pain.  Love.  Soul.  Mourn.
Peace.  Rest.  Deep.  Breath.

To the Shadows Inside
Michael Aug 2021
Fire burns - Water absorbs.
Flames rise - Rain falls.
Earth turns - On waywards.
Flesh cries - and into dust dissolves.
Peace is lost to the innocent mind,
as one by one its demons confine
themselves to the eyes of the ones they blind.
Hear the cries of the shadows inside!
Michael Aug 2021
Have a few bad nights of sleep,
for a good one maybe later.
Sleep with nose plugs if you sound
loud and deeper than Darth Vader.
And if someone sleeps next to you,
and you love 'em with all your heart,
then remember not to Number Two!
No, don't ya even ****!

Have a few bad nights of sleep
and a good one, it'll come.
We all have our crazy dreams,
and some that we can't wake from.
But if someone sleeps next to you
and you suddenly scream and shout,
maybe they'll comfort you.
They'll probably just kick you out!
Michael Feb 2021
The stillness of the air in the dead of night
frightens me.
It is here I can hear my deepest thoughts
most vividly.
In these shadows I'm drowned; all around
they're hovering.
I say a prayer that an angel might be sent
here to comfort me.

Shining in the Dark
Michael Jun 2021
Let me shimmer
Let me brighten
Let me shine
Like a star let me show in my own way.
It gets dimmer
I get frightened
Give a sign
My soul enlighten till the day it spreads its wings and flies away.

I get hungry
I get thirsty
I get tired
But till the day I am at peace my mind is wired.
As my heart is opened wide
With an appetite for pride
My soul just whispers quietly inside.

May these shadows not envelope who we are.
We all share a common likeness from afar.
We might have come from dust, but in each and all of us,
There's a night light that is shining in the dark.

— The End —
