The leafs start off new.
So green, then yellow bright,
as they dampen with the dew
in the middle of the night.
Everything so beautiful
reflects from high above;
An everlasting circle
'round a thing called Love.
The moon, it plays its part,
and gives us a little light;
The sun displays the art,
and brings it all on back to life.
The mountains stand so high,
and glisten at their tops,
as they mesmerize the eyes;
even where it drops.
Around its peak a ray of light
the morning sun would bring,
as if the Universe itself
is one great wedding ring.
The moon, it plays its part
and gives us a little light;
The sun brightens out the dark,
and saves us from the night.
There you stand as I
sing this song to you;
Your face is like the sun.
Your eyes, they are like the moon.
Your finger's like the peak
of a mountain that I'd feared...
but that was just a blink
before the morning sun appeared.
The moon, it plays its part,
but it doesn't show us much,
as the sun displays the art
of all we can see and touch.
In the moonlight we are dark,
and that's alright. You see,
you're the sunlight of my heart,
and you're everything to me.
