In the impending days ahead
I hope to face them with awe
and not with dread.
Not a moment goes by
that I am unaware
of tears so many cry
and my heart breaks in two
as I realize with huge regret
that there is nothing
absolutely nothing
that we can do...
However this one thought is true:

I wish the best to happen,
I
really* do...
Losing what you thought you once had
is the most difficult pain to endure,

Realising you never had it to begin with
does not ease the pain - recovery
it does not assure.

He whispered into my soul today,
on this warm Spring day
in January.
To live in the moment.
To enjoy Him in the now.
And not ask questions of the future,
which I do not yet need to know.
My life ahead is in His hands,
and therefore all will be good.
I do not need to see what lies
beyond the bend of this road.

Listen to the birds, He says to me.
Remember that they do not store
for the future or worry.
Feel My Presence in the warm
Winter breeze.
And in the chickadees hopping
within the trees.
Feel the warmth of My love
in the sun upon your face.
Take a deep breath.
Rest.
Let go.
Release.
Live in the moment.
Enjoy Me in the moment,
He gently whispers to my heart.
Walk in step with Me in the present.
Upon the road called Now.
And let My peace and joy
overflow.
Within you.

He whispered.
Into my soul.
the blue cast of the moon on tree limbs making
bent by dawns awakening and lovers eyes
the color change a bit from
midnight to dawn
a difference of hue
the color spectrum
changing from bright opal to emerald
mixed on  the palette
by feelings and temporal
the senses are so
ephemeral
they see the world in
emotion's
colors
Sorry, I thought losing you was the hardest part.
I walk around picking pieces of my broken heart.
Apparently seeing you live happily and bounce quickly is a bit irritating.
While I'm lying here writing about my rotten feelings and busy slowly dying.
What else are they good for?

About an old friend who has cancer and dementia.
You weep
But garden is
Full of laughs
