unforgiving gusts of wind work to weather canyon walls
fractured crusts off orange earth plummeting towards an unknown surface
an area so hollowed out and void
empty, where echoes ricochet off rock and reach clouds above
noises that capture the melancholy tones of lost wanderers
who cannot seem to climb towards their cries
torrential rain weighing down baggy clothes
causing already slumped shoulders to appear level with the dirt
soaked denim that makes every step more difficult than the last

exhausted, he feels like collapsing
so he brushes the dusted ground beneath his trembling knees
and sits down to cry
where unforgiving gusts of wind scoop his tears
carrying them towards clouds above
which fill until they can no longer hold
and the torrential rain continues to fall
haven't posted in a very long time
When I said I Love you,I wanted the world to hear
And being my world sinorita,I whispered it in your ear

if i dont make it,
don't cry because i didn't get there,
smile,
because i made it this far.
don't cry because i wasn't strong enough,
smile,
because of the strength you gave me.
last night was rough

99% of Americans don't know
That penguins run the world
That's why they all wear suits
Because world *******
Requires a dress code
Yeah it may look silly
To see a penguin waddle around
But have you ever seen
Black Friday stampedes
And midnight premiere lines

Our penguin overlords are benevolent
If they wanted we'd all be gone
Or forced to work in their egg warming factories
And they keep operations where it's cold
Because they know we like where it's warm
And they keep an eye on us from our zoos

I've been to the zoo in Columbus
I've seen how those penguins watch us
I know they are in control
1% of Americans know
That penguins rule the world
And now that you've read this,
That makes 2%
I'm not sorry for this. I wanted to have some fun and write something silly. Formality is a drag
Where are you, O gentle one
of whom I’ve dreamt a million times
Where are you, O mountain of love
for whom my heart promptly climbs

Where are you, O beautiful soul
without whom I feel nothing anymore
Where are, oh… those ocean eyes
that made me wonder if my reality was a reality or just a lie

Where is that place where we first met
and which house was that where we kissed for eternity and then slept
Where are those arms that once engulfed me with life
filled me up with endless hope and made me wish for a wife

Where is the face that always smiled
and those lips that forever shined
Where is the lap that I found comfier than a zillion pillows
and those long hairs with such mystical billows

I often find myself asking these questions now, but it’s too late
I regrettably wish I wouldn’t have been so naive
to have believed you’d still be there after we slept
Only to wake up and realise my world had left.

This is my third attempt at poetry. Hope you like. As always, I'd love to get your feedback if they can help me write better poems in the future.

Thank you!
