DEMONS
DEMONS
I feel like I can hear them
but they are not whispering.
the screams are peircing my ears during the middle of the stone cold night.
their faces are horrific
but they have pretty smiles.
theyre quite big, yet they walk for miles.
I know they walk because im followed everywhere I go.
I act like theyre not there and play pretend.
the funny thing is I used to call these demons friends.

I told you I'm different, you didn't believe
You broke me in pieces,  but I didn't leave
I feel no peace. I feel no breeze
I feel like falling down on my knees
How could you not know me after all these years ?
I'm hurt. I'm lost.
I'm weak like your trust
But all I could do is treasure you
And hope you'd love me the way I love you

You're rotten. You're horrible.
The feeling of insecurity descends upon me like the angel of death descended upon the Egyptians.
Depression, suicidal thoughts come to me the way that the answers to incredibly hard math problems come to geniuses.
I fight to push them away but they cut through my sanity with claws razor sharp.
The innocence of my childhood has faded into the moral corruption of adolensence.
The purity of girlhood has been slashed by the hardships of teenage life.
I try to keep my eyes pealed for the target but alas I'm losing focus and am hearing the screams of other's souls.
I hear someone moan, I realize the moan came from deep within me.
This wasn't a nightmare anymore it was sheer reality.
Reality had settled my fate.
Something I wrote a while ago, not really a poem but oh well.
For every shade
     of green you see
For every wave
       you catch in the sea

*I hope you remember me.

Your eyes are blue
In the sunshine,
But not just any blue.
They are the color of
The wildflowers that grow
In the fields we run in
(sometimes. But not anymore)
Except for in the morning,
When I awake next to you
(once, but just friends)
They looked green.
In fact, they were the exact color
Of the leaves outside my window
When I see them through rain spattered
Panes: storm-colored.

Your eyes are grey
In the shadows when you
Laugh and tell me silly things
That mean more to me than
Anything I've ever been taught
(I love you)

Your eyes are blue
Even when you say nothing is better,
Nothing is what you want for us.
Through my tear clouded mind,
Your cold, careless eyes are blue.
And I still love you.
From your love fountain
You offered the charmed drink
Only to be intoxicated
As I slowly drown in you
