As a child, I loved those puzzles,
The ones where you trace a line through a maze to reach a goal.
If you hit a blockage,
Back you go, to try again.
Again, again, you know that it's there,
that elusive final prize,
You just have to find the right path.
In life, though, you can't just erase that line,
It's a lifeline, others are clinging to it,
You brought them with you,
You can't just erase their world.
There is no 'try again', so you find yourself,
Up against a wall, and you stay.
You don't want to be there,
You took a wrong turn somewhere,
You can hear and see where you should be,
So close, but there's no way through.
They seem so simple, those puzzles,
It looked like the right way,
But now you're stuck there
Staring at a wall,
Willing it to fall.
How many people stay in jobs they hate or relationships that aren't working because change is so frightening, and difficult? How many of us are too afraid to follow our dreams, too afraid of failure? Too afraid of letting themselves and other people down?

I'm sorry to play this out
Natural and organic
Feelings that mesh with butterflies

I'd grab your hand as you were walking
Follow me I know a place
Time thats falling on its face

There is a high rise
And we can look down as Gods
Conveniently there is also a church

And that pavilion eroding into nevermore
Has room for out hearts
We can try again

Falling beats for softer chatter
Holding ropes, that bells sing on
And the world will wait for another minute

After all what really matters

That great tree completes the scene
And winds that climb that high
Know what really matters

No stars illuminate the Earth tonight.
Alone, the wet new leaves and I survey my plight;
The issue here so dark we may not find the light,
And only you and I will ever know what's really right.

I only want to give my very best to you,
Yet somehow that may work toward a great "undo"
Of everything I hoped to be, it's true.
At least until the next big bill comes due.

I know we'd love to think that love is free
'Though somehow still we know that just can't be.
I don't know how to make it feel like there's no fee
Because there's one thing you will never ever see...

The most expensive gift I ever gave to you was me.
-2011 does the lease run out?
The birds visiting me
Now I don’t feed.

Blame it on my cats’ greed!

Doel, bulbul, myna
All having fallen prey to
These snoopy lurky hyena!

These petty filthy abductors
Prowling pouncing predators
Have everything that takes
To break my feathered friends’ necks!

Now I know it does them no good
Birds coming in lure of my food
And be bitten and eaten!

I no more feed
The cats’ greed.
Pariah dogs pain me.

I feel for those mute sufferers
But can’t fill their life.

Many a times I have dreamed of
A doggery in my backyard
For those giver only friends.

Do for them something tangible

Send appeals to kind souls for charity
Creating a kind of NGO for these bravehearts
Giving them something from the more
They deserve.

I haven’t done anything of these.

Under twinkling stars
I feed them scraps
And mourn

When one is less.
Applauds and Likes is a humbling experience
Poets and friends make a community thrive
Bustling with encouragement and fresh poems
Reading poems has been an eye-opener
Place where Muses visit regularly
It’s a cohesive bond created by strands of each lines
Written by all the remarkable poets and scholars
I reach out to each one of you, with a humble poem
And express my appreciation, for the reads and comments
This poem is dedicated to all my HP friends and poet's for the constant appreciation and likes, and support, which encourages me to write everyday.

This is what I can promise you:

Your journey WILL NOT be a straight line

You will know heartbreak, like it or not

You will spill your blood on this earth,
expect it, just don't let it define you

Your thoughts are the only thing
you have
control over

Don't take and take and take from
the universe
and be surprised when the universe
takes from you in return

Always give first
