The fears came in
Through invisible doors
To smother every breath
And to vanish in thin air
Motives in the dark, it had
Unmet, unfulfilled it crept
As light filtered in
Through the translucent walls
The fears creepy crawled into the mist
Lost
Writing it all!

You're not lost, just because you didn't  trust today
I see you here, yet your thoughts are drifting away ...
You rake the leaves, with your bare hands,
You try to see, where your future stands.

You're not lost,  just because you need a break,
I see you smile, while trying to hide your heartache
You collect the dirt, under your fingernails,
As you walk barefoot and cover your trails.

I still see you, underneath the falling leaves,
I hear your voice say "thank you"  and "please"
I see your true smile, glowing in your eyes,
You're the only reason, my soul survives.
This is a repost of a dear poem of mine, it has a message that comes from the bottom of my heart, for the ones who feel lost from time to time. Also, this poem is the first one to feature in my first book of poetry, that you can find it on Amazon

They spoke too fast
what was that they were saying?
was it minus or plus
or were they just boasting?

The
gnarled
branches of a tree
are a perfect home for birds
and the dreams of children to rest
glistening with
freshly melted snow,
shining under the morning sun,
shaking the sleep from their white wings
while we, the
little creatures that we are
play under the feathery boughs of green
dancing and picking wild mushrooms and berries
breathing
deeply
of pine
scented
air.
merry christmas :)

It’ll be an old fashioned Christmas,
with Santa due down the chute.
I bet he Purells his reindeer,
and Lysols his hazmat suit.

It’s an old fashioned Christmas.
We’ll all have on our masks,
and our muffled yuletide carols,
will be just like seasons past.

We’ll observe all the guidelines.
We’ll eat six feet apart.
We’ll have disinfectant under the mistletoe,
and keep safety in our hearts.

Sure, it’s an old fashioned Christmas.
One unique to the times.
The love this year might be careful,
but the feelings are genuine.
Merry Christmas! *muffled voice under mask*
