Thankful

I am thankful for my boy
Grateful for the years and joy
Holding you. Comforting you
Teaching you to be now man

I am thankful for mom.
Spread her wings and kept me in
Closed her arms around me.
Everything will be ok son.

I am thankful for a friend that listens
No judgement. Just listens as I listen.

I am thankful for someone I don't know
That writes beautifully for me.

I am thankful for a seed that makes a tree
Growing and giving me shade I may need.

Sitting under leaves as I write.

Perhaps I'm not alone.

Lily pollens glow
rain of tears drops though it rained
petals glow
lily gleam and glow through it reverses time
night crickets chitter in joy
clock hand reverse twelve
midnight bell rings
willow leaves raddle like reindeer bells
pasture sound chitters and shallow
river flow down the stream fast
the wind made tree leaves raddle
so quick time stopped beneath my feet.

it was like we had our hands tied together but,
you were finding out your way out of the threads first,
wanting to get away like my skin was getting too hot to touch,
but you didn't know my knots were already loose,
i got away first.
this is the part where i fell out of love

I've been loving
the colour blue lately,
maybe a little too much,
because that's what I feel too.
