I would look even if it burns my eyes. Unlike the sun, you can grow brighter. You are smouldering coals. But darling, some day you'll be a blazing fire. And I've always wanted a funeral pyre.

My body burns still,
How could you turn
When I yearn still.

Life is a lesson,
Guess I got to learn still.
Burnt-out but I burn still.

Lust disguises Love
And Hate Sings loudly,
Broke me - like tobacco smoke me.  but you still stand proudly.

You should still love yourself,
Even if I resent every twist and fold,
Before one warms they must feel cold.

But I still love you,
**** it's true I still love you.
Still I walk paths that are new.
Written after a night shift. Love to

A Thomas Hawkins
Never fall in love with a poet
for their words are sometimes lies
on occasions they're a shield
on occasions a disguise

They will take you on a journey
upon which they bare their soul
in a bid to ease your burdens
in a bid to make you whole

But in every word they choose
for the stories that they tell
lies a little piece of heaven
and a little piece of hell

Tormented souls we poets are
sometimes quite broken and despaired
in search of lost expressions
missed by others who once cared

Never fall in love with a poet
unless you're prepared to share their pain
to hold them close on the darkest nights
over and again

Since, it seems
I have to live
Because I made a promise
I will learn, to swim
I will ride a bike
And play piano
I will do, all the things
I thought, or hoped
I'd never have time to do

I love you
So I wrote this
Because I need
To move, swiftly on

You, my best friend
Will soon be gone
It will be so empty
You are, I feel, a part of me

And yet, too much
I love you
To feel bitter
That you go

Until then, I will
But hold you tighter
Drink in your smile
Make memories, with you

I shall miss you, dearly
My first love, my best friend
I will come visit, till then
Adieu
