poetry has power powerful indeed
written by the people for all of us to read
many different kinds for each and everyone
there for all to see there poetry goes on.
all around the world people give there time
writing down there verses putting them in rhyme
put them down in print so we can plainly see
the power that it gives from there poetry
sow kindness a smile
harvest happiness inside
blessings will follow
This is a drag.
I've come to depend upon it.
Folks, don't be so perfect?
That you don't see your own sin.
We see them in the family.
We see them in our friends.
But failed to recognize them within.
So, don't be so perfect?
That you don't see yours.
We all have them.
There's no perfect one presently upon this earth.
Not even within the temples of all churches.
Hold, not your leader upon this pedestal?
That when they fail us?
Then the talk begins
Yes, drives to control your sinful nature.
Just don't act so perfect that you don't see them.
Have I been playing
that I match you, did you play --
that you are my friends?
