Eloisa
And she took some tiny steps
to love herself.
Slowly whirling toward the rainbow,
a light guide to her greatest love.
With colors like no other.
Enjoying her journey,
a wildflower embracing herself.
Growing wherever she chooses,
in the stillness of the stars and the rhythm of the breeze.
Wind and pain,
sunshine and rain,
A velvety night,
a meadow in the sky.
And she took some more steps
to love herself.
She doesn’t have a name,
she’s a wildflower dancing free.

Broken Mirror

I broke too much
of myself
thinking someone
could fix me.

I should have not
turned myself
to pieces
in the first place.

Because no one
would ever keep
a broken mirror
in their pockets.

if ever

you don’t

feel

like you have a home,

pull me close,

wrap your arms around me,

rest your head on my chest,

close your eyes,

and feel the warmth of the fireplace

resonating from within my heart.

In 21 days you’ll get over it they say
Six months later,
Still stings and I can’t escape
Your parting gift to me were bruises
And mine to you was, peace

Sometimes
poems
make
me
want
to
write
in
a
crowd
of
only
one
person.

between you and me,
i'm still rooting for us.

maybe not in this lifetime,
but in the end.

Seeing your smile is free,
but it's worth a lot.
I can't put a price on your laughter
but it's priceless to me.
