Metanoia
I now realize the best way to express my love for someone is to release them into the wild
free to become what they wish
encouraging them along their path
as a sister or a brother
how absurd to think
I used to want to control everything
driven by envy or fear
always blocking the light
from reaching my eyes
denying my true self
in a perpetual tailspin
with shovel in hand
digging holes for no reason
reluctant to grow
wings of my own
I now realize the best way to express my love for someone is to forgive them
even if they meant me harm
learning to love without conditions
is the sweetest release of all

If I held out my hand
would you take it ?
it's warmth ready to permeate your soul
but what would it tell you of me ?
the scar on my finger
the wrinkling skin
the crooked pinkie
the gnarl on my thumb
stories to be told
if you would only take hold.

When your words sting through my heart and leave me broken
- I love you

When the distance between us feels like miles even though we're near
- I love you

When I think of how many fights we've been through
- I love you

When you can't control your anger and burst it all out
- I love you

When the volume of your voice increases and reprimands me
- I love you

When you speak of words of love  and gentleness is in your voice
- I love you

When you make me feel the luckiest girl in the world
- I love you

When you give me hope and encouragement
- I love you

When I'm wrong and you set me right
- I love you

When you love me
- I love you

Silence Screamz
Reverse the question.
Question the reverse.
The answers might surprise you.

Answer the question.
Question the answer.
The problem is never solved.

Solve the problem.
Problem the solved.
Impossible possibilities.

Poetry saved me when I was falling fast.

It started with a simple compilation of words holding me in their grasp,
then began to grow into a world that didn't leave me for last,
it became a place that embraced my intricate manipulation,
rearranging 26 letters after moments of contemplation,
my heart beats and my fingers write what is pondering through my mind,
Poetry saved me, I am no longer blind.

"Where are we headed?" I ask. You reply with just that perfect grin.

I finally hand over the keys and just enjoy the ride.
In the front seat with feet on the dash soaking in the sun rising in the distance behind your soft smile.

You threw out the map and turned on cruise control miles ago, Stopping only to pick up passengers to join us.

"Are we there yet?"
You reply with a kiss, "Yes, we've been here the whole time"
