We met and said our hello,
For every moment spent felt like it was meant to be,
Now that I got you under my skin,
I find your heart isn’t there.

The sun rises,
You are still there,
The sun sets,
You are still here.

Your eyes locked into mine,
Your lips moved,
You said goodbye,
My heart was torn into pieces.

The constellations changed,
The stars realigned,
But our fate remained unchanged,
We were never meant to be.

In denial I was,
I forced love to you,
You forced lust to me,
In the name of LOVE, I gave you LUST

you
you are not the thorns
that leave your lovers
bleeding.
you are not the
sunflowers growing
in your head.
you are everything in between.
you are everything all at once.

There was something about the beach that made her wonder,
The sound of the waves promised it is a safe place,
The company she had said
"believe in yourself",
For the sun has risen up,
It is a new day, another chance to start.

Your pain has come to an end,
Your smile remains on your face,
Your beauty will always be remembered,
You lost in the battle
and Heaven wins,
But now,
You are an Angel.
I dedicated this poem to my friend who has been in a battle with cancer and I only found out about her death after 2 months. She was a friend that I met online and we only met when I visit her hometown. It was difficult for her to keep in contact with me because she was too weak to update her social media but one of her closed friends manage to reach me. I couldn't stop hating myself for not being there for her and saying goodbye. It was a news that I can't take well. It took me awhile to actually finally write about it. May she rest in peace.
