Arrow is will not stop without hitting head.

kurukshetra grey
but iridescent with the glory of all dreams combined
some omphalos of lusciousness still pumps
an umbilicus of sates
to broadening skies,
parhelion whims

(For better understanding read my poem Abhimanyu (part-1))
TRANSLATED BY KARISHMA JI (Thanks to her)
When Kurukshetra* was burning in the flames of war
God of death had opened his third eye
When the heads of men were being chopped
When Jackals were tearing apart the corpses on the ground
When blood thirsty men were waging war against themselves
When arrows notching the bow caused uncountable deaths
Goddess of war was dancing on mortal bodies
Wicked witches laughed at the loss of human lives
Laps of mothers were suddenly empty
Dust covered the parting of hair where vermilion was once applied**
The fire which raged the whole nation – Bharat
Was the great war, known as Mahabharat***
Earth was covered with blood and tears
Chariots overran the bodies of men
Warriors were trying to quench their greed
Trying to slake their bloodlust
These were the descendants of the same ancestor
Some were younger brothers and some were their elders
But brotherhood was sacrificed to statehood
Eyes shone only with passionate savagery
* Kurukshetra – name of a battlefield
** Traditionally, Hindu women apply vermilion to a parting of their hair after marriage
*** Mahabharat – an epic narrative of the battle of Kurukshetra

Hundred heads rolling in the dust
under a crimson sky
enveloped in the smell of musk
there stood I, victorious,
in a battle against my creed.
While I also lay dead
laden in white and a smile,
bittersweet,
losing my soul to greed.
There is no boundary
but only ego sheathed
in time,
the unparalleled truth
is a limited guideline.
And so I am false,
my identity only a clue
before the hourglass turns again
and fallen kings rise to sing
the battle won is reset
parodies made are not of me
the mirror reflects different things
scars whittle, memories mold,
and events I thought were nothing
now cost me more than gold.
The switch is mine,
but not mine to make,
but when it does happen,
it is for me to take.
Unless I roll the dice today,
and make a choice,
to only realize..
the hourglass turned
the wrong way.

::
then came the end of true fantasy
//
//
the girl that I love :
I would never describe her in a poem as
YOU
because she is real in my life
And she is real in yours too
//
once upon a time
We meet
on the fields of Kurukshetra
( Holy holy ! )
Love was the only thing there
//
Love is the only thing here
HERE
( where real people meet )
"
Once upon a time there was love
Once upon a time we knew
Once upon a time is now
•
I would never call anyone
YOU in a poem
Pretending I am talking to them
//
For
In truth
I am talking to you
•
We fought the foe with
Sword and Pure Heart
//
We fought so that today' d be free
::
We are
People you might like to know
The truth is something
You might like to see
The battlefield is full alive
And is somewhere you might like to be
