goddess
i still look back on the days i called you mine
i loved you and the feeling was mutual
until a year passed, and the sun set on a chilly autumn night
i could no longer call you mine
your love for me had faded
and you were looking at someone else the same way you looked at me
months have passed
but it feels like years
i still love you
and i always will
but without you i feel lost
no longer knowing who or what to believe in
i close my eyes
praying for the day when i can call you mine
because in my mind
in my soul
you still are.

In the end,
and by the end I mean
the day you realize
the moon was never waiting on the sun,
that she was always there,
only then will you know why wildflowers feel the pain you've been carrying silently.

The gentle courage that's found in the solemn nights,
where the wind whispers
"there has to be another way",
always seems to turn the tide faster than any man could

and once the roots of the trees find their way to your knees,
then you'll understand why you went down with his ship.

*When writing a poem
I think about you
That’s pretty much
All I have to do

Thoughts begin turning
Words soon appear
Whispers in stanzas
Emotions are clear

Phrases expressing
Infinite dreams
Penned within verses
Magical scenes

Melodic wishes
Everywhere found
Lines become music
A euphoric sound

Wondrous affection
Written for you
Promising always
My love is true

Now you know why
It's easy for me
You are every word
Of my poetry
Well, the love poems.  :)

Practice what you preach
It’s not too late to start
Don’t just say it, do it
Find it in your heart
~
Everyone is watching
More than you do know
Prove to them you mean it
Let your actions show
~
You will find it’s easy
There within your reach
Don’t just say it, do it
Practice what you preach

It's so easy to be nice.

Don't let me
Find hope
In words that are
Hollow
And think that
My footsteps
Form patterns
You will follow

Don't say
That I am lovely
Like stars and
Moonlit skies
When we both know
That I am only
Tear stains and
Sad eyes
I get attached far too easily.

Lucid
The warmth envelopes
Pastel and porcelain;
“Mist my soul with your breath”;
I beg, I beg.

I whisper to myself,
cradling brittle hands,
and surrender to the mystery
of your tidal sway.

Somewhere you lie,
Seeding clouds,
Nourishing roots,
Stirring violet galaxies.

Come to bleed me,
Find me entirely undone.
I have not breathed
Since we last touched.

Those brown eyes.
That warm smile.
That sweet heart.
You a wonderful and exciting woman.

Your nice hugs.
Your common sense approach.
You're  deserving of a toast.
Besides , you're the one I love the most.
Yes, I'm talking 'bout you.

Angels upon earth lies within you.
Yes, I'm talking 'bout you.
Yes, wonderful, wonderful you.
