Excuse me while I make love to you with the lights on
we slow dance to your favorite song
I admire your perfume that I inhale in my nose
as I melt from your body heat
as I pull you close.

You inch closer for a kiss
I try to relax, body tense
This is merely imagination,
but the thought alone
had my heart racing.

The pains too deep.
I just can't sleep.
I feel the monsters as they creep.

Demons dancing.
Goblins prancing.
Nameless blobs won't stop laughing!

I did this!
I am why they all exist.
And with my mind they play and twist.

I saw soft eyes on the promise fueled sunset
Coffee dark skies in a marmalade blush
Pastels now tinted of wayward decisions
Meadowlarks sing in a smooth whispered hush

Corn field desires drain simplistic notions
Run with me there down the row ever straight
Listen,  our hearts speak in feathered emotions
Love stands to prove it is never too late

The season has turned again
but
Are you warm at all
Do your intentions shiver
Could you run to far lands
and
Find your convictions
so
Comfortably swathed
Can you find enough fuel
to
Sustain the fire
of
Past afflictions
If happiness is from Heaven, and sadness from Hell,
I’m in-between worlds.
I’ve learned more from Hell,
then Heaven could ever tell.
Sadness etched on lips, and fingertips.
Creating it, that false sense,
of whatever Love is.
You’re always a victim, but never the culprit.
Funny to me, of "we,"
you found us first and kept it, Dear.
The voorpret we felt, as each drew near,
has now turned into fear.
Perhaps a love between you and I,
should have remained as mamihlapinatapai.
That, after all,
would have been, a happy end.

She was the girl
With her head stuck in the bird cage
She was the girl
Who watched others fly as she stayed on the ground
She was trapped inside her fear
She didn’t know
She couldn’t see
That there were people
Willing to get the key
There were people
Willing to give her wings
She was the girl
That never spoke a word
She was the girl
Who kept her feelings inside
She didn’t know
She couldn’t see
That there were people
Willing to let her scream
There were people
Willing to open her heart and mind
But
She was the girl
Who just wanted to be
For my friend who doesn't know I'm there
