Depression sneaks into my sight
You can Unsneak it with a fight
Let out this negative entity
With your will-might
Don't permit its suppression
Tis an oppression
you must kick out
Let it flow only out
And never to flow in
To give it a rout
I stand with you
For the collection
of its recollection
Put your mind under
Lock and key
Only positivity can open

Specially for Eva and all dear ones out there, staying positive is a choice you can pick, **
I wish I were made of stone
So your words would never hurt me
I wish I were cold as ice
Then maybe I wouldn't be lonely

I wish I were made of steel
So my strength would never waver
If only I could turn back the clock
To a time when I felt safer

But I'm only flesh and bone
And your words have left me bleeding
My heart is torn apart
It's a wonder it's still beating

You made up your mind
Given me your final answer
What we shared is in the past
Time to write a brand new chapter

I will fix my broken heart
Some how piece it back together
It may never be the same
It'll bare this scar forever

But I'll be strong, I'll be alright
Though I'm not as hard as steel
And I can't turn back the clock
In time....my heart will heal

Beyond the mystic
of
your love

Beauty strokes the rainbow
running down my beard
from
the
blushes
of
your grace,
into
the
inner sanctum
of
the
glory
that
rapture my face.
I
graze
in
the
sweet serenity
of
your
essence
whom
carries my soul.

Slain
I
am.

Beyond the mystic
of
your love.
I've written very few love poems
all of them I write for or about my
lovely wife
Anthea
This poem was
inspired
by
Johnny Walker
for his infinite joy
of
writing about his late wife
Helen

A poem is calling
And I can't attend it
I'll seize a few strands
To later extend it

Because life is running
Demanding a chase
No time for daydreaming
Til the end of this race

...

A poem was calling
I hope it’s still near
If I sit still and quiet
Perhaps it will reappear

Doesn't everyone check
the locks on the children
before bed? And on the
doors asleep in their
bunks? That the
dishwasher has been fed,
the coffee is chugging
along and the cat is ground
for tomorrow. Is that so wrong?

And while we're here in
the kitchen, it's no
trouble to confirm that
the compost is turned off,
the stove doors are shut
tight and the fridge is
secured. Doesn't everyone?

my lifestyle is dead style
out of my head style
every day's the wrong side of the bed style

I'm living so lifeless
like painted-on eyelids
my life's only priceless because there's no price list

not blind but I'm sightless
no wings so I'm flightless
no things to take sight of and fly for or ride for
or die for or try for or lie for or strive for
or cry for or smile for or open my eyes for

making steps is unwise like Gandalf's demise
wiping dust from my eyes, I set sight on the skies
still can't see so surmise it's my final sunrise
a well of wet decisions doesn't ever run dry
a wet decision
like
when you're drunk
or otherwise inebriated ;)
