I say I don't like you
Try to convince myself the feelings are gone
Pretend to be okay with all of this

         Then I watch you run
Your fingers through your hair
         And my heart drops
There are jackals outside
The candle died and the clock mourned her
There are things we will never tell one another
Truth is a murderer of many things
The cat fell asleep on top of the pizza box
I still ate it
The pizza
What would happen to the light in your eyes
If you knew
Would they, could they get brighter
Or would they fade to black
Like we did
There are jackals outside
And I’m going out there
A Beloved father, a loving husband,
A kind brother, a perfect son.
You've left a Dad-Shaped, a Spouse-Shaped,
Sibling-Shaped, Boy-Shaped
Hole in the Sky.
I wanted to be your part
so desperately
that I almost lost
my wholeness.

Poetastery

Past repast
It goes down fast

*** I'm like SO totally embarrassed.
Just found out how "poetastery" is actually pronounced.
I'm all LOL just like ***.

I think of you
Your back against my chest
Breathing softly

I close my eyes
And listen, wide awake
For your heart beat

I breath in
Slowly, the musky smell
Full of lost memories

I mummble in my sleep
Gently, almost silent,
Wishing you Goodnight...

I weake up,
Dazed, and for a monent
You are still here
It hurts.
But still I will pray
that one day someone will take
this tender heart.
They will take it
and love it with the same intensity.
