I was only sitting
beside you but…
I felt you all around
The warm heat, blood rushing,
flushing cheeks
Heart song, growing louder
with every thought
Your energy swimming
through mine,
mixing, flowing, growing
with intensity, thick
like a warm blanket
embracing
Yet light, like a dandelion
gently floating
on a warm, soft breeze
And still it lingers
Long after you
He sees himself through bloodshot eyes
Painting a picture with his lies.
He knows the party has an end
But not now, let the session never end
Some people listen to hear,
and some listen to respond.

Some people talk to be heard,
and some talk because they can’t stand the silence.
Meaningless meaningful conversations
You say
life is
meaningless

I say
that’s the only way
you can give it your own
purpose

maybe if i could show people
the poems i wrote about them
i wouldn't need to write them at all

It's all still the same
human brain is stagnating
revolve not evolve

Loving her
Was so difficult
It was like smoking a cigarette
Because I hated it so much
But craved it every day
Needed her taste on my tongue
I loved the rhythm
The consistency
Hated the mornings after
And the disease in my lungs
Even though she smelled so sweet
It was like she poisoned me every day
Yet I kept coming back for more
Sometimes I wish memories were water soluble
That these tears might wash them away
But try as I might
This clouded mind
Is where these memories choose to stay
Dear dog:
it may be suggested
I write on paper of rice
the better to be digested
since your critique's so nice

I notice you baulked at the stamp.
Should I enclose a bone with future submissions
begged from my midnight lamp?

I suppose it could have been worse,
at least the dog has devoured my verse!
some lines on a real event!
