We reminisce

each passing year

and forget what

is already here

We only live the

moments and await

for another sad

and nostalgic state

There’s lightening in my heart.
It beats like thunder.
My chest echoes like a cave.
My ribs crack and my bones shake.
My veins like rapids.
There’s no room for air in my lungs,
And I gasp.
Anxious with open eyes

I can't sing
I don't dance
But I can make these words
Prance across this page
And soothe you with melodious rhymes of my life at a glance.

I'll never be Trey
but I can write poems into Songz
I'm not soulful like Gladys
But I write these poem to be someone's shining Knight
I'm a spur of the moment poet
Nothing more and probably less
I'll never be the greatest
But I'm glad I got these words off my chest.

I can float like a butterfly
And sting like a bee
But growing up I realized
I'm kinda good looking
So fighting really wasn't for me.
I'm 6 foot 3
Can dunk and dribble a ball
But I have a bad knee
So I'm just another guy that's tall.

So for now your stuck with my poems
At least until I find something better to do
But I have to stop somewhere
So I'll end it with this.
I think you're all way better poets than me
But I won't give up til you all
Know I Exist
Just writing because I have nothing better to do at work
Wondering if you miss me like I miss you.
I wonder why you left me.
Why did you leave me for her!
I miss you.
But, at the same time I don't at all.
You make me so angry!
I wish I could tell you how I feel!
But, you wouldn't care.
All you would do is smile and turn away.
I wish you knew how I felt.
But, you never will.
And that's okay.
He left me for her.

Shades of black
Everything is black
Your eyes your hair the way your stare back
You eyes are mesmerizing ******* me in with just a look. Your like a temptation you've Got me hooked. I just died in your arms with a smile on my face. Shrowed with black covered in lace. Dying before I even realized I was alive, living for a love that's already died.
In a world where creativity is put first

no ranks

no grades

because how can you judge a human race

on if they made a certain grade

when we cannot even explain

the trueness of the big bang

oh, intelligence is fine

but I think it's not right

since we all come from a different whom

and are still expected to be advanced at school

school should become extinct

we have our brains still to think

no test is bigger than life

so maybe we should start *studying

The girl who couldn’t flirt, stood in the center of the hall.promising smile, style of them all. she talked, don’t get me wrong.but talking is only something,
if he’s  tall, and has reportedly *****
Desperately did she wanna speak. But every peep that she let leak, she said was weak. Because they rarely replied, and she’d get this pain inside. irritable, not friendly at all. Marriage isn’t even an option, when sophomore year she’s already coughing.

A ***** couch rests in the living room,
Like an old green stump.
Worn from too many soap operas and football games
The pillows droop like tired eyelids.
The smell of exhaustion and grime clings to the well-worn skin
That itches if you get too close.
Dog hair is sprinkled across the cushions
Along with mysterious stains and crusty popcorn between seats.
It gobbles up change, remotes and secrets.

Far from a fairy-tale throne
It has as much romance as a sock.
But since the bedroom was off-limits,
It would have to do.
