Cold sweats and hot flashes,
Soot covered eye lashes,
Being as the time passes,
Separating from the masses,
Stone cold with a warm heart,
Lifes a show just playing my part,
Sprinting towards dusk from the dark,
One of a kind on Noah's ark,
Keep a stash of motivation,
Coupled with determination,
Collect my thoughts like condensation,
Seeing hope in this sightless nation,
Opportunes I've had a few,
Bowed my head at the churches pew,
Its all apart of this fresh view,
Each days a blessing to start a new.

In the spring
I saw you liked a pretty girl
with a pretty smile
a pretty laugh
and a great body

So over the summer I made myself pretty too
changed my hair
changed my makeup
and ate healthy

When I came back to school in the fall
I got double takes from boys
and jealous eyes from girls
but not a single look came from you.

common cold

You kissed me
and I caught a virus
called lust.
You ran through my
Fever aching head
causing a seizure
I awoke and you were dead.

I coughed up dust
and your power disappeared,
I panicked, I feared.
It was over, I knew.
I sneezed
and out
blew you.

witchy woman
I send my hopes
and universal powers above
hoping you feel
nothing but
the eternal forces of love.

That your tired soul
may rest,
for its eternal age
letting all past pain
of long gone days
fade away.

For every soul that met yours,
and looked eye to eye
opened their souls
and spilled their guts
when they found out you died.

And I,
distant as I seem
hope that somewhere,  somehow
you are following
your dreams.

May his young soul rest in peace
One of my childhood elementary friends (a boy who used to tease me over my curly hair actually) just died today of a drug overdose.
It just so happens, that I saw him by mere coincidence yesterday walking down the street. Mere hours later he would be dead.
Never to ever accidentally encounter that soul again
life is so very very fragile
