There used to be music on the hill after dark.
I pretended that I had other plans but the stark
contrast of life and blood versus gold and cold mud
Had made a hut, all about people.
With gold steeples, a church steeple made of calcium cultivated out of all the rotten, wasted, and frozen cold goat's milk.
Have you seen me?
I'm missing.

In a little town,
that I've been around,
I've found the one
and only hole in hundreds
leading to a separate world
below.

Asphalt and all,
cold hearts,
nearly bare feet travel lengthy
streets, small in complaint.

Asphalt and all,
dead brains,
nearly there, but wrapped in
politic, fighting over what's real.

Have you seen me?
Apparently, I'm gone with no reason.

I've been around.
Everything is strange lines coming
out of nowhere, taking root as patterns,
meaning what you make it.

Asphalt and all,
**** brains,
nowhere near, but covered
in politic, fighting over what's real.
-- but I'm alive.

They can fight me.
-- but I'm alive.
All your brains can fight me,
fight their eyes.
They can fight me.
All they want to fight.
They can fight me.
-- but I'm alive.
                 I'm alive.
                       I'm alive.
                             I'm alive.

Fight me.
I'm smoking ****,
diving into dreams,
barely leaving my house.
Come on, *****, fight me.
If your heart does so explode,
when your eyes cast sight on what you know
is abominable, then come and arson these
paper walls with me inside.
Fight me. Take the life.

-- but I existed.
                 I existed.
                       I existed.
I take solace knowing that by living at all,
I've angered people.
That's, hilarious.
the place
that exists in the darkness
hazy
between days
3 am
lost in songs
that take me far away
please i want to stay
forever

Nothing hurt my eyes any more

than seeing the

strongest girl I know

cry.

Then why wasn't I?

The golden light loomed over us

as we were told

our bedrooms could change

soon,

for a brick building in the city

was about to serve no more.

And my only bit of hope

balanced on the promise

my parents will do their very best
November 29, 2018

I explain my sister's reaction to learning we may have to move away.

I had already heard of the news from my parents, but they had told me not to say anything. My dad's workplace was closing, and my parents said they were going to do everything in their power to keep us in the same town.
infatuation is a funny thing.
it doesn't rhyme with love,
but it sure sounds a lot like it.
ideallic,
surreal,
mostly because it isn't.

silly girl,
you didn't see
what was right in front of you.
you saw imagination.
you saw perfection.
life isn't Barbie,
and he isn't Ken.

don't be fooled by the fantasies
inside your head.
the mind is a universe of its own.
unexplored,
full of wonder and surprise.
trickery and demise.
seek out what is real,
and decipher what is not.

My mind, madness
Overpowered by rhyme,
But no reason
Just emotions embedded
Beneath my surface
Exuding words
Written, not spoken
Dreaming in syllables
Replaying rhythm
Piecing poetry together
From what most keep hidden
