 Dec 2014 Tea
mark john junor
she lingers on my mind
so beautiful in her strange way
and oh so tragic
we never had but a moment under a wonderful sun
but what a moment it had been
so full of promise and heartfelt light
so full of the emblems of brighter futures
so filled with the dance of hearts discovering sweet loves
it happened the way it should happen
it happened the way a 52nd street accidental preview should
and then it was gone
she just rose up and rode away waving her fare thee well
like some strange dream
never been able to place where it all went bad
or to place exactly why it all happened that way
other than to say it was meant to be
that she was just quick summer dreams
and she will always be fond to me as i am to her
sitting on a milk crate in the pouring rain
outside a closed supermarket at the midnight hour
just where i would picture her twenty years on
just where she would be night like this
in the beautiful light
a beautiful sight
in the midnight

Bluebird
she came to me with a song and smile
my feathers were black, hers in style...

she wanted to stay by my side
she put our differences away, like she was blind

she was nightingale announcing spring
i was a crow with broken wings

she sang beautiflly while i was crawing
she stayed until cold wind started blowing

when winter came she was gone
deep in snow, burried with her song.

that was the last spring that i know
it has passed a milenium, and in my heart stills snows.

I wanted to
thank you
for not giving me
what my heart
so desperately
longed-for.

It actually
made a
better man
out of
me.

My heart is made of gold,
But my wings are made of paper,
Soft and delicate and prone to breaking.

Liz And Lilacs
Will you count the stars with me
until I fall asleep?
I cannot hold them in my hand.
Forever, I will reach out to catch one as it falls.
Maybe their light could provide some warmth.
It's so cold here.

Planets
 Dec 2014 Tea
matthew meier
of the clouds I counted
of skies poured a fountain
their shine and their luster
couldn't start to muster
a glow as bright as yours

a blue not once been seen
a white not brighter gleamed
colors domain in sky
of where angels do lie
all dulled by you once seen

no heart quite so shining
no glare quite so binding
a stare spectacular
from eyes galactical
like planets etched at night

count it an act of luck
of stars I did pluck
two bright, shining marvels
thereafter who sparkle
at my own dismal skies

Addie
white and bright
winter wonderland
becomes
dark and dull
fright night forest
with
a biting chill
causing
the constant headache
the displaced dysphoria
and
hallucinations of home
fantasies of flight
begging
the snow storm
take me with you
my wings
are clipped
i can't move
i can't breathe
trapped and tired
surrounded by
greedy ghosts
and
dismal dreams
then
scarlet streams
if i have to stay

please take me home

----
slowed breaths and an aching heart,
shrivelled tissues and torn sleeves,
suddenly don't seem to exist,
suddenly don't seem to matter anymore.
because you've reached that moment when the world just explodes,
when you can't contain your emotions a second longer,
when everything you've ever wanted to say comes spiraling out in a jumble
of mixmatched words pocketed from years of love, hate, isolation and determination.
when you feel uncontrollable,
in a good way,
when you feel reckless,
but powerful,
when you feel so incompetent,
but on top of the world.
everything that's ever ended on a low note has been tuned up so that high voices and beautiful noise is all that you'll ever speak or hear again.
(start song at 2:13)
