haunted by fear, and blinded by pride.
Lost, in the darkness forever searching
for a time that will never come.
Lost, in false friendships, don't know who to trust,
open your secrets, then left in the dust.
Lost, with many decisions still left unmade,
things long forgotten that lead you astray.
Lost, in your thoughts unable to bare,
adrift in confusion found unaware.
Lost, amid the sea of lies and clouds of deceit,
endlessly drifting into the unknown.
Lost, in the carefree world of the past,
not sure of your future, unclear of your path.
Lost, yet your flame still burns,
just wait, the tables will turn.

i was walking for miles
and you asked me why
i was out so late
it was freezing cold and
the rain was picking up
i thought no one would
notice me but you did
you picked me up and
asked me where i was
going and why i wasn't
home and if i knew how
to make a fire without a
lighter or matches
you made sure there
wasn't a moment of silence
during the whole car ride
and i never noticed you were
driving me home until you
pulled into my drive way
i asked you how you knew
where i lived and you said
remember that time in
elementary school you
invited me over after school
because you heard my mom
left us?
i said yes, i didn't say i
thought about it for years
wondering if you remembered
how when you were going
home that night i told you i
loved you

do you know that feeling?
where you can't really
place what's wrong and you
can't really explain what's
happening around you but
you know you don't feel
alright and it's like you're
slipping away under the ice
and no one's trying to break
through?

Our navels entrenched in a holy bliss

Our corresponding parts catalyze the chemical kiss

The moon breaks through the window with luminosity
Your chest rises and falls lightly with every calming breath
My pale fingers trace your gorgeous skin as I lay awake
I blink with every inhale of breath your sleeping body takes
Our legs are tangled together to keep us from moving apart

My fingers seem to trail towards your collar bones
Chirping crickets and hissing cicadas fill the silent void
My colorless lips tug into a smile for you have awoken
Your lips lure towards my ear in a swift manner
Words of love and wishes for the future pour from your lips

And we end the night with a simple kiss
