I came down with an absent mind
not fully fixed on seeing you
knowing that the paused world
has changed much
and the art of letting go is survival,
to avoid the pockets of hurt

So with loose hope, I stepped clumsy
to where you’d always been
when with azure shock, there you were,
half-memory, caught
in the high speed shutter of my eye
a teal and orange thrill

Gone as soon as seen
I could lean into the loss,
but I knew you’d been here
to prove this dull distemper will quit
scars that remain will fade
and I’ll see you again

tomorrow will come

today i need more, so much more
today i want to hold on to you
smell the sweet smokey scent of your hair
as the softness of your lips mixes with the goosebumps on my neck
today i don't want to forget
focus on you, just you
laughing away my past and future
injecting fear with every word

tomorrow will come
the return to my daily hell
of scraping you off my skin

Our Lady Corona ,
Walks in heavy light,
She is the patron saint of the quarantine soul,
The saint of not to close ,
Of yes, of course, if you think so,
Of broken relationships filled with stress fractures,
Of racial violence,
Of No , I ******* think not anymore, not today,
Of lost ambition and found glory,
Of viral dances and memes,
Of shattered vases, hearts, and tears.

Our Lady Corona,
Shepherdess of our own moral ambiguity,
Of our lack of societal value in others,
Of our need to be, exist within our own universe,
Of our lack of empathetic emotional service,
Of our generational divide,
Of our continental divide, of the divide that is the political mainstream.

Our Lady Corona,
Take pity on we poor sinners,
Take pity on those we have wronged by our “snow flake” or “Boomer” additude,
Take pity on the hearts that blacken daily with their lack of remorse and understanding,
Take pity on the break down of human empathy.

For we ask in your name to be passed over,
The great equalizer you bring for some.

But in your wake let me singularly believe,
Not all things, not all people, not forever, just days,
Perhaps, just as all other things , you too shall pass.

The lone daffodil stands gently swaying in the breeze
Behind the smiling black and white dog
a orange coniferous trees lays in the sun filled back garden

Birds are singing a sweet melody
And the cou-cou cous in the distance
Here comes the dog paws tapping on the concrete
Oh how blessed is this St Patrick's day

I notice the faint smell of the chipper up the road
I see the gentle ***** of the Comeragh's
Trees dotted here and there
waiting patiently for the bloom that is to come

I think of how a certain sound is missing today
It's at the hour of the parade
Second year running we are without
Next year could be different
Some say the pandemic will disappear as quickly as it appeared,
I like to believe it true
Lev Rosario Mar 2021
In this pandemic
I will wait in agony
In feigned resilience
Until I touch your body
Dear daughter of dreams
Color of my existence
Before I collapse
And drown in wasteful daydreams
May you be my real
Not pixels but a warm face
Not boredom but love's embrace

This is sage advice,
At gigolos don't look twice,
It's a pandemic world,
Solo *******, guys and girls,
All around the  world,'
Blip yourselves, dudes and girls,
Then on with the happy pants,
Back to online work, us ants,
How do I know all this?
Google's life coaching is the blip!
Feedback welcome.
