She told me she loves me,
like how the sea remains,
even if the shore shoves it away.
On the day she left,
I thought of the words she said.
I shouldn't have felt secured then,
for she compared her love for me,
to the shallowest part of the sea.
She did not love me deeply.

there are words
hidden in trees
and growing in flowers.
there are words
between people's lips
and in songs being carried
by the summer breeze.
there are words
on our fingertips
and lingering in our ears.
there are words
left unspoken
and there are some
that were spoken
all too quickly.
there are words
in our body
and in everything
that is alive.
because life is
a combination of words
and we're just trying
to make them rhyme.

Tonight,

I looked at the stars like I do every night,

and I cried.

because this time,

I remembered

that some of them are dead.

and I realised

just how envious I was,

that I was not as beautiful as a star,

even though,

I too,

was still there.

yet also

so

very

dead.
I've lost my love and I don't know how to get it back.

Find your rhythm
Along with the groove
Envision your world
Just keep it smooth
It cannot stay cloudy forever
The sun will eventually shine
Move towards the right path
And keep everything in line
