Smile.
A smile is not the cure to pain
It is not the gateway to happiness
It is simple a mask to compress the pulsating sorrow that shows all over your broken soul
A smile is nothing more than another ****** expression saved in your memory banks
It has no real meaning
At the same time it represents something that is so much more
It represents a passion that is often wrongfully ignored
It represents resolution within your own being
Hope that illuminates from your very skin
But a smile itself represents absolutely nothing
When someone tells you to smile they are not saying it will solve all of your problems
They're saying it'll maybe help you answer your unanswered questions
That it will maybe help bring peace to your off balanced mind
That it will maybe lead you to a reason to actually feel joy
Help you break through the invisible gate,
Instead of looking like a **** poor pitiful soul who lost everything
That is the definition of a smile
The word ****** expression that lost it's meaning
So do the world a favor and just smile

Hug a black boy while you still can.

Before he's ripped from your arms,
Torn from your womb
Thrown into a cell
Beaten in an alley
Hung from a tree
Shot down in the street

Hold him and pray for his safety
Pray for his return from the gas station
From school
From work
From life

I held a two year old and as he tried to squirm away I thought of how much love I had for someone in such short time
How this body holds so much value to me and so many others
He matters, he's only two but he matters just as much as any other human being.
His black skin beams along with his smile and I couldn't imagine life without this black boy.

So why can't our government see that?
Why can't they look at our black boys and love them unconditionally?
Protect them unconditionally?

Our black boys matter.
Hug them while you still can.

Little moist drops of heaven
       Trickling down my throat
    The heavenly burn,
                   delicious
Synonymous with an Angel's wings
               fluttering in my esophagus
     Liquid lightning, striking
          Almost blasphemous
 A devilish game of Russian Roulette
              With four shot glasses,
   Three rogues and one gent
Emotions getting looser
    Clothing getting tighter
           The taste becoming
     Sweeter
          Liquefied demon tears
Playing a wicked game
            with my insides
    Putting a beautiful curse on my mind
             Melted Whiskey Raindrops
     Sending shivers down my spine
           This hellish war of love, hate and
                    Intoxication
   Has never felt so

I was told tears are a sign of weakness
That they will lead to my demise
So I laugh just to test it out
Looking pain right in the eye
Why am I still alive
I'm crying after all
Do you not hear my tears of joy
Its sound is splashing all over the place
Loud and clear "demise"
I guess that makes me... mortal
A slayer of demise
For I am laughter, bringer of joy
Healer of all pain

My life is stuck on repeat
It's the same **** everyday
Tears of blood
Wipe them away
