"Red nails, like roses
Purple fingers, flowering,
Bruises fed to bloom,

The more you let the darkness grow,
the less there is of you."
Look at the stars
Watch them glisten,
Brighten the night sky
Not a care in a world

Take their lead
Watch what they do
Give it a chance
Forget your woes

Pause
Don't think
Lay down
Watch them glisten

Let your mind wander
Close your eyes
Feel the world around you
Disappear

Watch
As you become a star
Ah,
My beloved,
A name from god knows when.

I know you are my heartbreak,
And I know you are my truth.

If anyone’s ever abused me,
I know it has been you.

Perhaps the reason there is so much suffering in this world is because
We aren't made for this world

Another day goes by
Uneventful, fake
The happiness subsides
Leaving a cold, unforgiving world
In its wake
One day
I'll finally know what it feels like
To enjoy waking up
To enjoy life

Today isn't that day
Maybe tomorrow, maybe never...

She told me it was her heart

Something was wrong with it

That she needed to see the doctor.

She said that everything would be okay

And not to worry.

She’s really sick now

She can barely breathe

I tell her not to give up

To keep fighting

Keep pushing.

To look death in the eye and tell him to stick it where the sun doesn’t shine.

She laughs

And tells me that when it’s her time, she’ll know

She thinks it’s soon

I’m not ready.

crawling around
my head

feels fuzzy
feels familiar

I held a pen
when I was twelve
and I never let it go

burned off
half my soul

I don't know who I am
no one knows me

I feel it
breathing
running inside
my mind

never goes away
in my sleep
in my conversations
spaced out

feels like a spiral

just like the day I found it
I can't separate
I can't forget
