I am the Puppeteer
Shehrbano Syed Jun 2019
Many sit in there  bed and think of life,
And they can’t help but think,
Do they have a purpose in life to fulfil,
Or are they as useless as they think,
Do they have to follow a certain path,
Or is there one that they  can make,
Are they all just puppets of some puppet show
and is  their life just  controlled by the puppeteers
Are they the main players  or just some pawns on the side

But I already know
I am the puppeteer
of my own puppet show
And I will always control the strings

Because I believe every single person has purpose
But sometimes they just fail to notice
and when they fail to notice
they cut their strings instead of controlling them
and they fall, like so many others have

Mirror
Shehrbano Syed Apr 2019
They think I look in the mirror
Cause I think myself pretty
But I look in the mirror
Just to remind myself
That I am no one

Escape.....
Shehrbano Syed Mar 2019
Standing over the ledge,
that will bring me my escape.
Thinking of all the good,
Thinking of all the bad,
But when i think of your smile,
I couldn't let it fade,
just so I could escape

Who was I fooling...
Shehrbano Syed Mar 2019
I told myself I was okay
I told myself I was happy

I told myself I did'nt need friends
I told myself I was beautiful on the inside

But who was I fooling
when I couldn't even fool myself

I am a Women
Shehrbano Syed Mar 2019
Trapped in these chains where ever I go
even with the key I am not truly free.

I feel like an animal in a cage,
everywhere I go it feels the same.

My brain disagrees but my heart agrees,
that I am a women in a man's world.

Love is a key only mother’s hold
Happiness is a treasure only kids find
And a feeling of completeness is a miracle never to be

War always ends with death
Shehrbano Syed Mar 2019
A vision of blood and smoke
A life of pain and death
Blood on the walls, bodies on the ground
The world on fire
Just because we choose war over peace.
