said the passing clown to the mime
it's quite a long way
expressed the mime
'yes it is?'
the clown replied
mime frowned
and they began walking...
clown in his big floppy red shoes
mime improvising as he went

at the edge of town they ran into a juggler
on the corner trying to pick up a few coins in his cup
clown asked the juggler if he'd care to join them
in their walk to the ocean
juggler said 'why not, things are kind of
up in the air for me right now'
they headed west toward the coast
clown had 5 boxes of Mike and Ikes...every flavor
in his red scarf on a stick
mime had plenty of slim jims
this would keep them fed until they reached their destination

several hours into their odyssey
a storm approached
a lone well drawn pine provided refuge until the storm cleared
as well as a snack and chance to learn of each other's journey
to this point
clown had done many things throughout his life
in pursuit of love, home and family
but he had failed in his search for a life he always dreamed of
and now this face of heavy make-up and big red nose would
hide the fact that he lived a life of constant sadness
mime had been a singer and worked for years to perfect
his craft... dreamed of making it to the big stage
but he refused to sing what they wanted him to sing and even though he had amazing talent, he was refused time and time again
becoming a mime would mean he'd never be reminded of the beautiful voice he possessed
juggler was a star pitcher known for his amazing fastball when he graduated college and was only days from signing a contract with the Yankees when a car accident damaged his shoulder so severely he lost his fastball
he juggles to keep his arm in shape in case his fastball ever returns
juggler asked clown why they were headed to the beach
mime was interested as well and produced the perfect look of inquiry
clown stood up...tossed the red scarf on a stick full of Mike & Ike's over his shoulder, brushed himself off and replied...
'why not?'

Headwater's fountain
Top clad in snow.

A clown with a frown was talking to a king with a crown, when a mime happened by, and mimed to them, “What’s the quickest way out of town?”

The king said to the mime “To catch a train, be on time.” And the clown laughed at the king, and it began to rain

The mime grabbed his bags and looked at the king, and the clown, and mimed “Thanks, I’ve got to run.”

“Was the mime on time to catch the train?” said the king to the clown. “I don’t know.” Said the clown, and again says, “Do we really need all this rain?”

The street mime looked like she had been shot but she recovered well and proceeded to mime a nasty smell wafting from her nether regions. My daughter was shocked as she "...didn't know womans ****....only Mummies!"

I was intrigued that she made a distinction between her mummy and other women...."Mummy isn't a womans...she's a mummy!" But then she thought about it and thought that other womans are mummies therefore....

And I said "Yes?" thinking she was going to close the circle and allow her mummy to be a womans as well...but:

"That means....that....other womans ****!" A child's logic can tie a father in knots....of laughter. . . that is.

A **** was set free even though he committed a crime.
The reason why he was set free was because I'm a Mime.
I was on the witness stand but because I'm a Mime, I wouldn't talk.
I take my job way too seriously and that was why that criminal walked.
Because I wouldn't testify, everybody in the courtroom started to yell.
The judge was so mad that he found me in contempt and put me in jail.
People are still angry because I wouldn't give my testimony.
My wife divorced me and now I have to pay her alimony.
If I hadn't taken my job so seriously, that criminal would be rotting in prison.
I'm going to get a new career because that's something that needs to be done.

my 10 year old daughter Chelsea started rapping at me and I was put on the spot, this came off the top my head... I'm not a huge fan of rap! She came back with the second half!

So I stopped talking af_ter a time
In a while I wasn't heard at all

and now it's time to be a Mime
once I saw a pug in a mug
so I just shrugged
and chugged that mug

There was a mime who fell in love with a woman,
but he could not tell her, because he was sworn
to the silence of the quiet community, so then

he tried to give her flowers,
to make up for the loss sense of sound.
He could flatter her with smell, all the hours
of the day.

But she would not smell them.

He tried painting her a beautiful picture,
to enable her eyes to dance.

But she would not see it.

He even knitted her a scarf for the winter.
Something she could feel,
to show her how he felt when he looked at her;
which was all fuzzy inside.

But she would not accept his feelings,
even though she was cold.
Even though it was her favorite color.

And

Eventually

He gave up.

He had tried SO HARD!
No matter what he did, he could not please her.

And

then

She was walking down the street and she heard it.
Heard soft crying from behind some waylaid old
cardboard boxes.

The mime felt a hand on his shoulder.
He smelt the most beautiful lilac perfume.
He turned and beheld the loveliest of faces,
he felt his cheeks turning red,
mirroring her rosie ones from the cold.

And finally he heard her voice,
so soft like the knitted scarf
he had labored over.

"All I wanted was to hear
you say what what you felt,
to tell me I'm loved."
she whispered.

"My darling,
you are loved."
he spoke aloud.

And
      then
            he
              was
                 free.

That day he shed his black and white stripes;
for he was no longer a prisoner.
He was set free from the confines of silence;
and sang out his melody of love unto her
every day after, until the end of time.

A mime came to waste my time,
He mentioned my name
And I gave him a dime
