A W Bullen Oct 2018
Have
come to quiet
the voices
to wrap them in
sea-fret,  to set
them aside for a while.
Rest ankles in campion barrows,
to search for the wonder
we lost in the chase for tomorrow.
To smile with the guise of a child,
if the moment be woken,

And, should it arise
from my somber entwines,

exalt in the pleasure of being,
supine in the seconds
of mystical present. Alive
in the genuine time
of my life.

Have
come to quiet
the voices
To wrap them in
sea- fret  to set
Them aside for a while.

Bring it on
I will fight
Let your words loose upon my
Infant heart
Whip and whip again
Gaze at me with your
Estranged lens
Leave me to fend for myself
Let me hurt
Whether or not I shall rise again
I will be the victor
Of my end

My dreadful..
Dreadful
End...

Be gentle
Show me your hand

Be gentle...
Lighten your gaze and
Uncloud your lens
Let me love you
Before the end..

For estranged
With estranged
From estranged

Wreckless Abandon

Focusing straight ahead, unfocused, as
sound waves pleasure my ears.

Unconsciously conscious as
wind slaps my face with life.

Freely taking mandatory curves as
heat permeates my being.

Arriving oriented, confused as
the clouds uncloud my vision.

A journey's end, a beginning as
I ponder "how did I get here?"
Ever just drive and lose yourself?

A Dirty Thought
Jo Mar 2014
Damnably grey, I sink into
A lightless sea.  My breath falls
In gasps of air, my eyes
Shut as gas rises.  Dear Pity

May you have my lungs fill with
Cold, watery iron until the
Sharks carry my pieces like
Prayers to fishing boats.

Stuck in the colloid
Of my wasteful life I create
My own shadow - malachite jaw
Swallow me before I am

Forced to burn the belly of
A whale.  Moon thief lends
My paper body a dapple of stolen
Light to dry my soggy skin.

If only the black water could
Clean between my numb ears -
Instead it sits tepid and full of
Mosquitos leaking with eggs and blood.

All I wish is for a wind to
Uncloud me, for air to inflate
Me.  I breathe, I breathe -
More fool I.

how to be
triztessa Sep 2017
we were born
       empty
vessels to be filled with
longing for
                    purpose
only to be
                    the used
versions of ourselves
living to
               pursue living
                        denying
to pursue
dying

consumed by all
      desire
lay across
    my
        paths discretely
****** by constant
        wants
to change
how the world views
      me
sun comes a
           new day!

the body becomes
empty slate
           begins
                  sliding
swinging
            by again!

Nightingale reappears
forwards
       my emotion
primal
to contain
       vessels open
by
        unused
                       space
and parts
to fill the
                     whole.

we are designed
escape the Torment
souls (have faces too)
ashes endowed
roots to
                uncloud
the human mind
            free
begins
in deep pikes
                       Breaking
the ground.

we,
       to You
                   resound
Consciousness
vile disguise!
       freeing
vessels no more.
Disclaimer: I have no idea what I'm doing with words. This is all pretense. If you can give me the basics on how to write poetry, that will be very much appreciated.

afterwards,
lying there,
panting,
throats raw from roaring,
finger-shaped bruises all over,
too sore to move,
when we slowly uncloud from the bliss,
do we even remember the moves?

Write it big
Write it strong
Write it eternal,
…a poets song

Make your words clear
Make right from wrong
The message short,
…the meaning long

This time only lent
The whispers uncloud
The opening prescient,
…reasons abound

Write it forever
Write it out loud
Within the moment,
…happening now
