my smiles mean pain,
my smiles mean "save me",
my smiles mean that i need to be loved
my smiles are anything but smiles;
they're screams for help
R L Dec 2020
the joy of alone,
my solitude gives me space,
it helps me think,
sometimes i just need to be around nobody but myself.
R L Sep 2023
My solitude is a blessing and a curse.
I can spend days on end thinking to myself,
my past,
my future,
but I can't spend a moment living out reality.
My solitude is just an escape from what I don't want to experience.
R L Dec 2020
don't teach me how to spell betrayal,
it's been in front of my eyes my whole life
R L Nov 2020
Once I die,
I want you to cut me in the shape of the stars
So we can watch me shine in the sky
Better than the sun ever could
R L Dec 2020
They want to **** out all my happiness,
little do they know they’re going to starve.
R L Feb 2021
statue stand, lean and tall,
i wrote the scriptures after all,
solid history to tell the truth,
i've been here forever,
standing beside you.

a thousand years,
of being watched,
no movements made,
no movements taught,
so we stood here forever
and watched us grow old
but we're made of cement
and our hearts made of gold.
R L Dec 2020
some lies,
some truth,
and some are an escape from your world,
the life that stories hold,
sometimes better than our own.
R L Nov 2020
her mother used to tell her
that each star in the sky told a story,
from our ancestors,
and now the stars live to tell us that story.
R L Nov 2020
This storm is nothing but a drizzle
It seems like it’ll never end
But every storm ends
And the sun comes out
So keep your head up
Because that’s where the sun will be ☀️
R L Oct 2020
I admire those that can spend a day
Without feeling dead
Or wanting to die
I admire those that can keep a smile on their face
Even at their lowest
I admire them
Because they’re the strongest people
And the hardest to crack
but the most precious
I admire those people because they are different, and I’m not like them ✌️

sun
the sun sets,
because she believes she's not good enough,
and the sun rises,
because she has faith in herself
R L Sep 1
I bask under rays of sunlight
that burn my skin
searing,
scalding,
until I'm simply a vessel of rays
no longer filled with the misery
that once repressed me.
R L Dec 2020
over the horizon,
the apricot colored semi-circle,
setting in,
the waves pulling me in,
into a daydream of the rosy pink line,
killing the sunset.
R L Dec 2020
a godly figure,
you're oh-so-strong,
to others you're the biggest,
but i hated you all along,
you thought you meant something to me,
you were just a game i played,
so go to your peasants,
and make them think you saved the day.
R L Nov 2020
you can't trust a survivor,
until you find out what they did to survive
R L Nov 2020
i stayed up
and talked to the stars
i said everything i could
and talked about you
the stars heard enough
and left me alone
with the shining sun
and i spoke
everything about you
then came night
and the moon wanted to learn
so i spoke and spoke
until the sun returned.
R L Dec 2020
sad eyes,
how did i not realise?
it was pain,
regained it,
and it took 100 tries,
to get you to talk,
but how did i not realise?
you were broken,
a token,
to get you to talk,
i should've loved you,
but then you were gone
#suicide
R L Nov 2020
why didn't you talk to me?
you didn't tell me why,
you never said goodbye,
why didn't you just talk to me?
R L Dec 2020
we taught ourselves to lie,
and always hide our pain,
the elders keep us locked up,
depression on our chains,
we keep our sadness bottled up,
and cry when we're alone,
so how are we the bad ones,
when we don't know where to go?
R L Nov 2020
i want to hear you speak
tell me what you love
your favorite book
your favorite color
your favorite scent
i don't care,
as long as it means
i get to see you smile
R L Dec 2020
we danced around the fire that night,
and climbed the trees and watched the stars,
we rolled on the fields,
and played card games,
then slept on the grass,
and screamed our names,
we held each other's hands,
we held them tight,
and set up a fire,
and danced that night.

my magical lies,
and the fascinating cries,
i love seeing the pain,
in the bad people's eyes,
yes i'll hurt them bad,
and i'll hurt them real good,
i'll **** the ones who deserve it,
and the ones who know they should.
R L Oct 2020
There’s a window
that gives you a glimpse to my soul
heavily-framed
the sides broken off
because the devil
tried to break in
and steal my innocence
and now my blinds are
always drawn down
R L Nov 2020
5 minutes left.
i thought we were in this together?
4 minutes left.
i can't be with you
3 minutes left.
i've gotta run
2 minutes left.
this can't be true
1 minute left.
i have nothing to say
10 seconds left.
goodbye, i loved you, but the end is today.

So relaxing
Yet so intimidating
It could take you away in a wash
Or you could watch it in amazement
Every wave
Consists of memories
sadness
happiness...
or suicide
🌊 honestly, waves are pretty cool and relaxing
R L Nov 2020
I walk on the path of regret
Something I wish I’d never done
But I hope to lose track on the way
Because losing you
was worse than loving you
And nothing I do now can change that
R L Oct 2020
it’s deafening
but keeps me up at night
I can’t live without the sound of my thoughts
It helps me stay awake
silence
I can’t hear my thoughts anymore
silence
why is it so nice
to not have any sound
silence
tranquil atmosphere
it’s so silent
except I can hear the sound of my solitude
I love my solitude it keeps me happy
R L Nov 2020
summer sounds like glee, and children playing at the beach

fall sounds like satisfaction, and the color of leaves

winter sounds like hugs, and the snow a fluffy white blanket

spring sounds like the breath of fresh air, and the bed of flowers in my garden
i know they're not actually sounds but it's just a different way to talk about the seasons

he meant the world to her
she took his hand and they flew to the moon

There was nobody to judge them
so they lived in happiness for years
they surrounded themselves with the bubble of their love
it protected them from pain

Until he died.
there was no point in living on the moon anymore
so she went back
and the people laughed at her

so she surrounded herself with a bubble
               isolated
               alone
and the moon could only shine at her to remind her that
he was still with her
R L Nov 2020
i tried to say it
i just couldn't let my mouth
speak such lies
R L Dec 2020
the moon is back,
and the clock resets,
the sun comes up,
and back down again,
time rewinds,
but we make use of it differently,
i'm still in yesterday,
and i'm living tomorrow happily.
R L Jan 2021
time never stopped,
no matter how hard she tried,
she spent every night crying,
and the time just flew by,
she tried to make it stop,
and got sadder by the minute,
but the world just kept moving,
and time had no limit.
the clocks kept ticking,
and the world kept moving on,
but she was still stuck
at the temporary problems that never seemed to be solved.
time moves on, and so should you
R L Nov 2020
i lost my whole world to be with you,
but that's okay,
cuz we can stay in hell together.

i gave up time to be with you,
but that's okay,
cuz we can stay stuck in time together.

i caused a hurricane to be with you,
but that's okay,
cuz we are our own storm.

i made up lies to be with you,
but that's okay,
cuz we can live faithfully now

Every time I turn a page, I expect more
The words fill my brain with pleasure and satisfaction
I can see inside the characters
I can feel what they feel
It’s like an attachment
I don’t want to leave this place
I turn another page
My favorite character dies
It’s sad, but exciting
Then the book ends
And I reach for another
I do it to escape reality
Just for a moment
R L Dec 2020
let's be lonely together,
we can make the most of it,
let's be sad together,
we can make the best of it,
we'll cry with each other,
and scream out in anger,
but in the end,
we'll both end up together.
R L Nov 2020
you say that love is unconditional,
but if you truly knew me,
you'd turn away
R L Jan 2021
we looked straight at the truth
but only believed it when everyone told us to
R L Nov 2020
"your dreams are unrealistic" they say
but we only speak from what we see
R L Oct 2020
So much pressure
So much pain
I can’t help but
Feel a drain
of emotions
It’s hard to tell
which words should stay
Unspoken
I don’t know how to rhyme, still a beginner
R L Dec 2020
i feel like i can't do much
with being me,
when all i want to do
is help others feel appreciated.
R L Nov 2020
i don't want to die alone,
but i don't want to die with you either
R L Nov 2020
don't shame me for what i did wrong,
you were like me once too
R L Dec 2020
if our words are meaningless,
then why speak?
R L Nov 2020
the bright night,
the sad smiles,
the deafening silence,
the living dead,
it never made sense,
but it was the way it was
R L Dec 2020
you want to rule the world?
then join all the chaos and go crazy for the money
R L Dec 2020
like dawn,
i rise my head up,
and remember my values most,
then comes sunset,
and i feel down again.
R L Dec 2020
when we try to defend ourselves,
we look like the bad guys,
but when we give in and say sorry,
we automatically become the good ones.
R L Dec 2020
sometimes it's hard to tell
whether somebody's love is unconditional,
and it makes me think of people differently.
R L Dec 2020
it's not easy being with you,
but it's not easy leaving you either
