no more tears left

I don't know if I can't cry
because I don't miss you anymore
or because I'm so used to the pain
that it numbs my heart

my love for you is as leaky as a faucet,
destined to never stop-
one drop at a time
till I lose my mind
I wish I could cry- because then at least I would feel alive
Instead I am empty inside

I miss him

His soft touches
with warm embraces,
turnt to bruises and scars
all over her arms.

His sweet lies
full of warm sugar,
stuffed her throat with honey
till she's was gasping for air.

His rampant insecurities-
the way he made her wear them,
like a shield of armor
bore to protect him.

But most of all she misses
the way he played with her.
For now all she feels is numbness-
where once was her heart.
It is a twisted thing-
to miss the one who made cry-
but at least then you had someone to blame

The sun and moon sharing the sky
Their love radiating from opposite edges of life's greatest masterpiece
When looking up at the amazing beauty of the sun and moon out at the same time on opposite sides of the sky.
There is nothing more powerful than that connection.

James E Roethlein
He Feels She Has

He feels,
               she has
a hand worth holding,

he’d call her beautiful,

but he fears
                  but he fears,

she would reject him,

so he says nothing,

            and walks away.
