I chased the sun
until it set

I watched the rain
while getting wet

I went to sleep
so I could dream

I danced beneath
a soft moon beam

I sang a song
way out of tune

I pictured waves
out past the dune

I climbed a hill
covered with snow

I planted seeds
to watch them grow

I waved at cars
just passing by

I pondered clouds
upon the sky

I counted stars
high up above

I wrote a poem
filled with love

But…

The greatest thing
that I could do

I fell in love
with only you

*I whispered a phrase as the sun it did rise
Reflecting the beauty I find in your eyes
Just three little words that I happily say
“I love you” now echoes this October day

I walk down a path beneath colorful trees
Like rainbows now floating on autumn’s cool breeze
Such wonder I see as I gaze everywhere
Though none like your smile I am longing to share

I stare and I point and I sing out a tune
In hopes you will sing with me under the moon
With harmonies sent from the stars up above
Providing the lyrics of our special love

It seems that each day is the same as I go
Come morning or evening, I want you to know
No matter the time or the moment I view
I find myself forever thinking of you
For you beautiful.

Took a drive to no where.
Out and about.
It was a early evening in the fall.
And I was not in route.

I took a drive to clear things up.
I thought of 12 stories and one poem.
As the early evening turned into actual evening.
To wherever I may roam.

I took a drive into the night.
Down lonely roads and over a quiet river.
Under the clear Texas night sky.
Where all the stars sing their twilight silver.
I figured things out.
Don’t you ever make claims that you’ve moved on,
when the scribbles on your notebook will prove otherwise.
Don’t you ever assume that you have forgotten,
when a phone number you should have gotten rid of,
will prove you ridiculous.
Trying to forget
Hiding from my past
Packing it down deep within
Stumbling from the weight I 'm carrying
Looking for answers
In all the wrong places
Searching for guidance
And acceptance of myself
The mirror lies
I'm not fine
I just look like it
Is that what people see
A shell of what I should be
Can't they see beyond that
And help me
I'm sinking fast
Only one finger up
Above quick sand
Help before I go under
Never to be seen again
Giving up all my chances
To correct my wrongs
And be forced to except
My unfortunate end
Last chance
Pleading
Help me if you can

Me oh my, I can't help but ask why. Why am I stuck in a slump, thinking while seated upon my ****, I have no clue, no answer, no solution, how can I possibly come to a resolution?
I'm in need of eyes, but I've no idea how to catch them, I'm in need of ears, but I know no words to which people would lend them.
To touch a heart, to cause a smile, can I go the mile?
Where to start, when to depart, this is actually quite hard...
Couldn't think of much

The soft chill winds
a cloudy day
ah! what a feeling!
drifting with the streams
how the life instills!

Waves of song coming from the distant
white Storks flying as the fall guy
how the dreams come and go
between you and me
between the land and sea

In the sky rafts of white clouds
crafts the arrival of autumn
assuming the flame of Love
what a beautiful play!
what a fairs of tune!

If it's 63 degrees
in your town
in August

Don't ask me why
can't tell ya

You'll know you're in Texas
Believe me
Oh, Hell yeah
