Three ravens cry
for the stormy sky.

How it must feel
to be so sad,
to be in such pain,
to hurt so bad.

How it must feel
to be hated so much,
to not see the sun,
nor feel its touch.

How it must feel
to be so alone,
to hope for your clouds
away to be blown...

I always tried
To run away,
And escape it all

I built my wall
And hid it all
So no one can see
The real me

I lived in pain
But you, made me realise
It was all, in vain

Time is a stepping stone
That none can leap over
But have you ever wondered
What lies atop of it?
rattletaptap Jun 2015
Why do you?
Why do you see
Only the Devil in me...?

I'm not that bad
In this city of
The living dead.

I do the same,
The same as you,
I stroll the streets,
Without a name.

True, my soul is dark,
But so is yours,
We're all just puppets,
To some unknown force.

And yes I hum
These wicked melodies,
When it's time
For demons to come,

I may be bewitched,
But so are you,
And I dance with them,
But you do it too.

Yet I wonder why,
Why do you see
The Devil only in me?

You know what they say!
Aye'! Aye'! Aye'!

When ya see a human,
Hiddin' in yer woods.
Take ‘im to the witch,
And steal his goods.

She'll keep ‘im locked,
Fo' so many days.
Then boil ‘im good,
In so many ways.

Once it's done,
She'll feed us good.
We'll eat some bones,
As servants should.

You know what they say!
Aye'! Aye'! Aye'!
Taken from a book I'm writing :)

Each, riding
Upon a noble beast
By the Lamb of God
Now released

On a white horse
The first one came
And the land
Was his to claim

Now undone
The second seal
To him presented
A sword of steel

The third rode
A blackened beast
To bring hunger
At the very least

Then the ashen
Did arrive
To end a fourth
Of all alive

They're sent to signal
A divine forthcoming
And the Lamb's
Second coming

A *** of colors
At the rainbow's end
A *** of hope
All pain to mend

A *** of time
An eternal bliss
A *** of love
A tender kiss

A *** of peace
A warless Earth
A *** of gold
An endless worth

Daylight creeps across the leaves
and branches bent by autumn wind;
a pale echo of a world bereft.
Wake! while your spirit sings
still of beauties down distant paths
dressed in twilight, full of stars.
Like memories present
amidst dreams that ne'er fade,
like mist on rainy morns, but creep
like ghosts, like ghosts.

When the moon shines upon the void
The puppets' lonely princess
Shall dance with the enigma
A prophecy, written so long ago
Even before the tales of afterlife

Her tattered dress shall slowly
Sway, across the wooden floor
Her stripped feet shall gently
Tap upon the moonlit stage
And she shall lose herself
In his mysterious eyes

His hands shall hold her tight
And feel the warmth of love
His darkness shall fade away
Far, far into the abyss
And he shall lose himself
In the beauty of her hair

The puppets behind shall play
A macabre and ghastly serenade
For the two whose fates
Shall eternally be intertwined
Joined together, by their mutual love

Ever reaching
And so serene,
So briny and clean,
Is, the mystifying sea.

The fish inside it,
Together flock,
Swimming around,
A **** or rock.

The peaceful lives
Will forever last,
Where all is massed,
Beneath, the boundless sea.

Sometimes we think
we’re holding onto
someone, not realizing
that they’ve let go and
we’re only holding
the thread that used to
connect us.

Sometimes I wish to be the rain.
To be careless and free, and feel no pain.
To guide someone, and be their inspiration.
To bring two souls, hugged, under one umbrella,
To have them be filled with a much loving sensation,
And have their hearts sing a long-lasting a capella.

Asleep at forest's edge,
I dream of sky islands and starry paths.
Counting the cycles of rebirth,
I dream of never-ending destinies.

Asleep at cavern's end,
I dream of grassy mornings.
Counting the passing nights,
I dream of death...

I slowly sway back and forth
In my barless cell
It's so big; I can't see the end
I feel like I'm in hell
Imprisoned by my own thoughts
Insanity grips me tight
It wants me to give in, just give up
I won't; I'll fight!
All Is, why? Because it's personal and I'm not giving up :P

It is that thing, when you give them your all,
And you believe they're not going to bring your downfall.

It is that thing, when it gets broken,
You cry and try to forget it, just leave it unspoken.

Twilight.
Neither day nor night.
A welcome; a goodbye.
A bridge.

It’s the appetizer before the meal--
a clue of what's to come.
Like when you were a kid
and shook your wrapped present
to guess what was inside.

It's the beauty before the allure.

I dream of blue roses and black tulips,
as well as kisses but I wonder whose lips?
I never can tell if she's even human or fae.
Am I to never see her, or are we as one to lay?

She has indeed burrowed herself in my mind
like a sickness for which a cure I cannot find.
Through runes and rituals I try our fates to bind
with hopes to see her then, when the stars are aligned

I am black & white,
You are color.

I will never feel your touch.

How many wonders will you weave?
How divine can you be?
How many hearts will you open,
for everyone to see?

A one-eyed man I met,
from far away he'd traveled here.
In search of what he'd lost,
he told me of a place that can't be seen
where men who bravely die
rise in glory and await the fated day.

I did not believe his words
for then I was a fool.

Two wolves were by his side yet
I did not feel afraid.
Two ravens he had lost, he said
and asked if I could help.
My doubts would be gone
if I helped for they could speak.

Then the dreary night came on which
I met one of the two.
A tapping on my chamber door
revealed to me the truth.
"Nevermore" the raven said and
now I believed.

I will await you where the sidewalk ends;
listening to the rain tap upon the cobblestones.
Sheltered in the darkness under a black umbrella
as the cold, autumn wind tickles my bones.

You will find me sitting upon a marble bench
behind the splendor of a willow tree.
And its fallen leaves will keep me company
as they did to those who waited here before me.
rattletaptap Jun 2015
I cry neglected and forgotten,
Alone in the darkness,
Waiting for everything to end,
Waiting for my death.
I hear the cries of angels
And the songs of demons,
I wish they would end,
I wish I could be free.
Torture has become,
My only pleasure,
I'm no longer afraid
Of fear, I now invite it.
I wish to feel, I wish to be free.

Unholiness corrupts me,
As I cry forlorn
Inside the darkness.
No raven comes for me,
No love nor hate,
I'm alone, I wish to be so.
I wish to die alone,
I wish to die in solitude.
Maybe then, maybe,
The bird will flap
Its ghastly wings....

War,
When the sounds clench,
The mighty horns,
And crimson stench
Overshadows the meadow smell.

When Bodies lay
Soundless on the ground,
That's the time,
When Death comes around.

Death,
The ghastly one, comes down from the sky,
Patiently waiting, to take away,
All of those, who will soon die.
rattletaptap Jun 2015
Death is eternal.
We Fear it,
We hold it,
We embrace it,
But we can never,
Truly face it.

As the sun turns black
And the grass turns red
Within this world
Of pain and hate
Salvation will come
When it's too late

We focus on now, instead of then
Even though we know, how and why it was
We're doomed to repeat it
All over again

So before this world
Goes up in flames
I ask you all
To bring down this wall

The one that's built
Of ignorance and hate
In order to prevent
Our miserable fate
The "THEN" in the 1st verse of the 2nd stanza can mean both THE FUTURE and THE PAST.
In the 1st verse it means the FUTURE, but if it's combined with the 2nd verse it means the PAST
The sun turning black = End of the World ( in this case humanity )
The grass turning red = From all the blood spilled during war ( which is the cause of verse 1 )

Bless the sky when winter comes
and twilight sings a song of ice,
cold and pale
as its ghastly grip of death.

Embers dress the aurora on such
darkened nights.

A pale ghost dances around an oak,
around the Pantheon.
It's a ghost of my own, an illusion.
Memories seep away like forgotten dreams;
lost, like a raven in the night.

I bow to the Pantheon, to nature.

Craving the snow like a husky.
Pale and cold and melts on my touch--
I remember those ****** winters.
Through frostbites and numbness,
I would dearly hold it.

Each snowflake I touched made me shiver.
Each ball I made was perfect like a globe--
I saw the whole world in it.
And I never threw them; I kept them.
I never wanted to see you shattered nor dirtied.
Spikes ran through me when I saw you that way--
You should be pale and cold and melt on my touch...

They are there,
Always, following
watching, waiting

Patient, calm
And collected

Out of your sight,
Making you think
That it's only
Deep inside your mind

But they are real,
Watching you,
From the shadows

Patiently waiting,
For the moment to come,
For the moment to strike
You

Your presence holds my sanity together.
Can I keep you?

Your presence revitalizes my bleeding heart.
Can I keep you?

Your presence takes away my pain.
Can I keep you?
I would love to hear about something from you all, in the format above, about that special someone in your life.
"Your presence... Can I keep you?" As you can notice the similarity between these 3. :)

We stayed the same
When everything around us
Changed.
But everything around us
Stayed the same when
We changed inside.
