I miss the old days.
Me and you against the world.

vinny
scoffing at this world
rules and expectations
laws are for suckers
you never pay taxes

your a cash business
run by a ceo
with a libido
that never relaxes

listen to the voices
we pay for our choices
they beg to ask:
is your soul intact?

like random coordinates
punched into navigation
once a promising future
now an unknown destination
He reminded me of a song;
No words but pure symphonies —
Only the strumming and plucking
Of the strings of the guitar.

Tragically and harmoniously beautiful,
He was the solace of my melancholy —
Every part of his angelic wholeness
Filled with wonder and all things lovely.

He fitted perfectly, in my empty spaces,
Lyrics unsung and words unspoken.
And with every breath he exhaled,
He filled my heart to its brim.
i love you, t.
Big
My life is big,
My world is bigger,
It's no wonder I often find myself
by getting lost!

I keep a smile on my face,
Not by myself but by the pace,
The speed of life.

I keep a smile with grace,
Not for herself but for a brace,
The support of life.

She was my dearest fave,
Not by heart but for the pave,
The road of life.

She was mine with awe,
Not for permanence I now know,
The dream of life.

Hoping she accompanies me to my grave,
Not foolish because I'd made her my all,
That searching happiness of my life.

I am surely a fool,
Not that I am dumb,
But I am just a fool.

Gave her all the weapons,
Gave her all the strength,
For killing me, *in the end.
HP Poem #1246

Another barrier gone
And finally, my lies can end,
For five days a week
And two afternoons
I can be comfortable,
Happy,
Safe in my skin,
I can sing and write
Of wings and dresses
Of being weak and loving it
Of looking in a mirror
And seeing me looking back
Free to dance and giggle
And look sweet, look cute,
Look pretty
And be unafraid
To feel pretty too
To smile at the world
With the giddy joy of a child
For this is my start,
This is my beginning,
I am May,
And I am a confident,
free, pretty and happy
Girl.
