I can't wait for
hot cocoa and
long sleeves.

For jumping
in piles
of fallen leaves.

For friday night
football and
warm bonfires

For staying up late
and never getting tired

For stargazing
in the crisp
autumn air

For keeping my
ears warm
with my hair.

I can't wait
for things
to get better.
i was told to write a happy poem

Smile me a river,
May it capture my dreams.
Carry them down,
Life's rugged streams.
Up and down,
splashing, scurrying
Hanging on by the strength in hope
From a easy flow,to a heavy hurrying.
From the littlest of waves,
To spinning and twirling.
Clench my dreams, carry them through.
All these elements,  to share with you.
my strength lies beneath the skin
it's inside my bones
it's the sway of my hips
it's the smile in my *******
and it roots from my soul

I am woman, you know

the doctors tell me I'll never be
the nurses tell me I've never been
they say I'll never hear my baby cry
and then God says, "guess again"

I am woman, you know

the pain is a most definite promise
and as I grit my teeth I know
the promise is always unsure
and yet here I stand defeating odds
being what you told me
I could never ever be
who says there isn't any cure?

After all,
I am woman, you know
Today is September 1st which kicks off ovarian cancer/PCOS awareness month. I am excited, and I'm feeling empowered.

Mommy said if he's mean it's because he likes you.
She said boys are backwards and upside down.
She said boys are young dumb and fullofcum.
She said close your eyes when you fall so you don't see how much it's going to hurt.

I still have bruises, she said.

If i could snap my fingers,
and make myself disappear
i would.
Summer's warm currents retreat
the advancing brisk amber sunsets.

Submerging the world under
the reign of enduring starry nights.

The maples blush as Autumn whispers
the gentle lullaby of Winter's sweet breath.

Erasing Summer's memory with a crimson brush
preparing the golden landscape's long frigid rest.

I almost feel vulnerable around you
Your warm arms wrapped around me and your face snuggled in my neck
I feel your every breath, I feel your every heart beat
I hear the whispers you make when you dream
Ironically whenever you're asleep I have the courage to talk to you and when you're awake my words cower on my tongue
I don't want you to know
I don't want you to know the part of me that's hidden
I just want you to hold me, and make me feel vulnerable and loved forever
Fingers like pieces
Puzzled together,
Like they were made
For the other's hands
Clasped together

Each not strong
Enough to hold
Themselves
Together,
They are

Side by side
Left close to right
Next to the other
Partner, partners
With, us, we, ours

Her wing stretches
Fifteen, maybe twenty
Feet, to either side
Again, by side
One wing each

Clouds sweep by
A jet, below, so slow
They grace, diving
Like a raptor
Then their wings

Switchblade
Out, zipping
Pulling, ripping
Them headlong
Out from the ground

Like a flower up, up, up
To the sun, to the sky
Back to the clouds
They were born
To explore
