A small. Soft. Sad little ball.
Turning your eyes up to meet mine,
the only movement you make.
Too frail.

Your sandpapery nose
Breathes a ghostly breath.
Your last icy kiss.
Too frail.

Little restless tail lays still,
Yearning to twitch with excitement not pain.
It’s your last day I think.
Too frail.

The vet said it’s rare.
The body that housed you
Is letting you down.
It’s too soon for this.
Too Young.

I love you so much.
My heart.
In pain.
It’s my last chance to hold you.
Sleep well.

Destiny
Please just tell me why
Tell me the meaning of dreams
They haunt my footsteps

Breathe in and breathe out
Do not repeat your praises
You will hear my shout

You will cry in pain
I will then feel much sorrow
You will faint tonight

I'll battle onwards
Leaving nothing in my path
I now watch your corpse

Under a fleeting light
More than you could ever see
I envy your pain

Destiny
I am a cloud in a world full of clouds.
People call me shy;
I see myself as low-lying fog.
Fog-the thick stuff right in front of your eyes,
so think you can’t see through it…
Until you’ve crossed into the inside.
I don’t see myself as above others,
so I’m low to the ground.

Other clouds –
Storm clouds, and those clouds you can imagine
as anything your heart desires,
and the wispy ones high up in the skies…
They are dramatic and charming, but what are they really?
Some clouds become ripped apart by cars,
but others are ripped apart by planes.
Is there even a cloud never caught, never ripped apart in any motion?
For really, we are all as each other.

Staring up at the ceiling
From his spot on the floor
His worried friends
Keep calling
He keeps pressing ignore
Surrounded by empty bottles
And a fancy invitation
That contains
His ex’s name in calligraphy
With a date and location
Part 1 of a work in progress

Nighttime spills over the horizon
staining the land with shadows
its blackness deep and unyielding
but soon arrives a tide of constellations
glistening with the brilliance
of stars unnumbered
they wash over the Earth
bathing all in soft starlight and
cleansing the darkness

I watched my neighborhood park
undergo a transformation
on a warm autumn morning
that carried the smell of dew and maple
the sun peeked through the trees
reflecting off the yellows reds and oranges
illuminating them
till you could swear they had caught fire
crisp air threw amber leaves skyward
raining down like golden confetti
to be collected for jumping into
by the laughing children

Till half asleep I bask
under cerulean skies and sunshine
in the middle of the meadow
where the gentle winds roam
counting clouds
like they were sheep
slowly drifting toward a world of dreams
while listening to the peaceful swooshing
of free winds across the soft grass
Sono folle di te, amore
che vieni a rintracciare
nei miei trascorsi
questi giocattoli rotti delle mie parole.
Ti faccio dono di tutto
se vuoi,
tanto io sono solo una fanciulla
piena di poesia
e coperta di lacrime salate,
io voglio solo addormentarmi
sulla ripa del cielo stellato
e diventare un dolce vento.

Fallert
She smiled and she grinned.
  So happy, so free.
  Unbothered by the worries,
  Not one could plainly see.

  But far beneath the smiles,
  She screamed, a soundless cry.
  She wept in deafening silence,
  Underneath the lie.

  He smiled, he laughed.
  Such a friendly young man.
Bared one daughter, but no sons.
He walked every day, never ran.

  But far beneath his chuckles,
  Were rules set to comply.
With the daughter that he’d beaten,
  Underneath the lie.

  The evening of the funeral,
She’d mourned for their third part.
  The mother she’d held dearly,
Heart spiked over the feeble chart.

  Family gathered around him,
Said they’re sorry for his loss.
  Wife and daughter gone,
He prayed under the wooden cross.

  But far beneath his sorrow,
His heinous grin reached the sky.
For he cried tears of satisfaction,
  Underneath the lie.

Gianna
I found love
When I found you
I heard it in your voice
You sang a melody
Chirping away
A perfect symphony
With friends in flight
You're one
In harmony.
I found love
Looking around
At your arms outstretched
They call for me
In shades of green
I look within
And saw the love
I was searching
For so long.
In your sweet embrace
I found love
I felt it
A serene coolness
Overpowering me
Every time
Gentle zephyr
Caresses me softly.
Longing for someone
For the one
A person to be with
For years to pass,
I had been searching
But verity struck me
When lightning flashed
A bolt of power
Seized me
Hitting me enough
To realize
That the love
Longed for
Had been around me
All along
And in natures grandeur
It stood
A love so true
I had found in you.
For nature
