I told her I'd never fallen in love
with an alien before

She gave me an odd glance

And then I told her she was out of this world

She chuckled and smiled

And at that moment
it became evident

*Her lips don't even have to touch mine for me to get lost in them
A Lover Should ......
Enchant
Your soul
Mesmerise
Your mind
While bewitching
Your body
Fitting together
Like the proverbial glove
Treasure
Your dreams
Share
Your sorrows
See eternity
Hidden in your eyes
Leap
Into the unknown
Be brave
And true
Honour
Their own heart
Love
Themselves too
Fascinate
Captivate
Elevate
Take your breath away
Lie spellbound in your arms
Cherish your value
A Lover Should
Only ....
Love
You .....

(C) Pixievic
I wrote this a couple of days ago after reading an article about what being a 'Lover' means .... not just physically but overall - so this is what being a Lover means to me ....
And we looked into each others eyes
I couldn’t find a yes,
only hardened silence lay between
the question and the knowing.
You're like a shadow,
you stayed during our brightest times
and left during the darkest ones.
You didn't leave with a warning,
whoosh!
and you were gone.
You acted like we never happened.
Like you didn't even know who I was.
You threw me away
and stomped on the heart I gave you.
You were my world,
but I was just a cover up for her..
the girl across the room.
You laughed at my tears.
What happened to the person
I fell in love with?
another poem from January.
I just want him to reach within my soul
and try to grasp all the pieces that make me whole.
The body of a poem

Could never be as beautiful as *yours
