You wanted to leave
My heart started yearning
But I could not stop
This bridge of ours from burning
Now I can hear our song play
In reverse
To the slow destruction
Of my universe

Even a heart in despair
Is still able to care

The world is my audience,
I am on stage,
No emotions left,
Just a puppet in a cage.
Reaching out,
Waiting for a hand,
The only one they give me,
Is clap and stand.
They try to break me,
Waiting for it to end.
But they cannot break,
What only bends.

Tell me you love me
With unending measure
My heart will bleed gold
Like a chest full of treasure

Beating and breathing
My thorax expands
With pumps of gold blood
From this heart to your hands

You make my heart whole
Once you draw near
So tell me you love me
For I need to hear.

I have seen the best of you and the worst of you, and I choose both.
I watch you,
I read you like a poem,
Annoyingly paying attention to every detail that is you.

Lustfully craving the trace of your fingers, mouth, tongue, eyes on the contours of my body.
I want you.
Abusing my mind thinking about you.

Days turn into weeks,
I find myself longing to feel that warm rush when you say my name.
The passion in your eyes consumes my body and runs through my veins.
I miss you.

Anastasia
Alone
In a dark
Quiet room,
She lies on the floor.
Guilt swirling through her mind.

"But I'm better," she lies to herself.

The dusty mirror begs to differ
The voices in her head don't approve.
She can't stop thinking about the fat in
Her thighs
Her face,
Her stomach.
She pulls her hair away and
Gives in.

"It won't happen again," she lies to herself.

Alone
In a dark
Quiet room
She lies
In a casket.

Do you ever dread the day?
The day you write your masterpiece.
Your heart wrenched, blood spilled, gasping for air masterpiece.
The poem you were never meant to write.
The poem of your nightmares.
