I am sick
and tired
of writing
about heartache
time and
time again.
All I want
is to catch a break;
To put down
my weary pen
and face the day
smiling in my wake
The love of woman
flows through me
like the blood in my veins
The heart aches
with or without them
There is no air as fresh
as the kiss of the one you love
Can you compare the embrace
To that of God ?
There is nothing more beautiful
than watching her sleep in peace
Nothing can you share as endearing
The love of woman
makes me a man

When Christmas and New Year's Day are finished
and you are tired and all your energy has diminished
When all you can do is creep into dreams
Of being in a new year
Yet having one toe dipped in the past
Sleep and dream of happiness that will last
Tomorrow's not going anywhere
The present is all we have
Yet we can make more memories of good times had
and they can live on with us
Good times to discuss
With our friends who we trust
So start new trends in the new year
Make new friends and lets be clear
But get some rest for now
Because you have worn yourself out
and yet the future is ours
For the taking
whether in dreams or reality we are making.
A piece of the world made to
contemplate creation
A place to absorb the ****** light
of the heavens without reservation
Where Cherokee tears flow freely
from pink flower encrusted observations
To catch the breath of Pine bidding warm
salutation* ...

And so, an ending, just one,
before another beginning.
How much do you need to know
in any lifetime, long or short?
Do not fear death. Breathe deeply.
Embrace multitudes. Love whom you can.
Speak truth to power. Try to be
the best person you can be,
however imperfectly. Be willing
to fail with great joy;
to succeed with gratitude.
There is no best time to live.
There is only being alive.
Each moment leads only to
another present. Be in it. Be it.
And then, soon enough, be gone.

It’s the end of an eventful year;
The new beginning is finally here.
Good and bad times have come and gone
Yet through it all you carried on.

As you take a sip of tonight’s champagne
Think back on this year, both of the joy and pain.
Remember all of the friends you made
Both those who left and those who stayed.

Through it all you’ve grown into someone new;
A stronger and wiser you.

Happy New Year!
"Knock knock. Who's there?
Jesus. Jesus Who?
Jesus Christ."
If just one opens the door to let him
in, it was well worth it to be written!!!!

Happy New Year to ALL my Poet Friends!!!
God Bless,
Michael...
