Life must strengthen us,
Every experience should make us better,
Either stronger or kinder,
Understanding and wiser.
Pain teaches patience, and that time heals..
Healing teaches the miraculous,
Happiness teaches appreciation..
Life is a purpose, no day goes by in vain.
Sometimes it's hard to let go and trust God,
It just feels like nothing is going to work out,
Taking matters into our own hands and taking control gives the comfort of knowing what's going on,
But really it only frustrates.
Leave it to your creator. He holds your destiny in His hands. He has never failed and will never fail.
Dear God,
Preserve my sanity,
Preserve my identity,
Preserve my family,
Preserve my health,
Preserve my well being,
Preserve my relationships,
Preserve my soul,
Preserve my mind,

Preserve me for your goodness,
Preserve me for your plans,
Preserve me for my purpose.
Preserve me for a brighter tomorrow.

For it is only in you that I can be safely kept.
You should believe in love, girl
One day it's going to find you
Love will say your name
and you're going to fall

It's going to be okay

When it's real and unmoving
At your side when you're low
Love will say your name
and girl, you're going to fall

It's okay
//On her//
If I could talk with her again, I'd want to give her hope.
Never look down on yourself,
Realise your value,
You matter,
You are worth loving,
You are worth dying for,
You matter.
It doesn't matter if they forget your name,
Or write you off,
You still matter,
God knows you,
All your pain and struggles,
All your secrets and shame, but His love still does not change,
It forever remains endless,limitless,conditionless..
You matter.
Jesus loves you,
He lived just to die for you.

We don’t use diaries anymore -
those are meant for secrets,
and we have none.
We let them spill out of our bodies,
and pour onto blank white sheets.
We swear it’s the only way
we are going to heal.

We turn our pain into poetry.
Anything that hurts this much
has to mean
And even though we are desperate
for anyone to listen,
our language is in the letters
that we will never send.

We romanticize pain like it’s the
only lover we will ever know.
Love is our god and we are each our own devils.
Too fragile for this world,
ceremoniously destroying ourselves
before anyone else can do it for us.
Yet we still can’t understand why we’re so broken.
Answered prayer! God can change the hearts! And he is the Great Physician.

My dad is back in his rest home! They've released him from the hospital, a week before they said he would be out. He does NOT have to go to a nursing home where he would be housed like cordwood. We were very much afraid that he would be miserable. And he would have been. But he's back where he can garden. He has some plants growing in his room. He can do the things that he used to do! The doctors are astounded. They held out no hope of this happening. None of the administration seemed to want him to stay in his rest home. they said it would be too "dangerous" for him! I believe God worked on their hearts so they can see that his longevity is dependent on his activity. He's always been a very active, intellectual man. This will be a testimony to him of God's power. I think he was resigned to his fate. But he had so many people praying that he would be put back in to the home where he's staying now, and he knows it. He survived cancer due to the prayers of the Believers. Cancer free for 7 years! Now this! It's difficult to doubt anymore!

Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts! You made a tangible difference and my father's life was in the balance. And you blessed me immeasurably. May you be blessed with the blessings that you have bestowed upon us!

I'm on the phone telling all my friends... I won't be on site tonight. But, Lord willing, I'll be back reading tomorrow ♡

Lord, why am I not satisfied?
Why do I seek on earth
what You have promised I'll find above?
Is it because he's beautiful?
Is it because I hear his voice,
and not Yours?
Is it because I've seen his love for children,
even though you've claimed all humanity as Your Own?

Why do I want him, and not You?

Why can I not tear my eyes away
when I know I could be missing You?
Even if he were mine,
I wouldn't be loved perfectly.
A part of me would still be empty
because he's just a man.
A beautiful, loving, wonderful man,
but a man all the same.

I've asked You to take my heart,
my desires, my thirst for his love
and throw it away
unless You want this to be.
But does my desire to be fulfilled
block Your access to my heart?
Does my wish that these feelings
are meant to be in place
deafen me to Your call?

Lord, my beloved, my all in all,
You are what I crave.
You are the one I desire.
I can't say, “I don't want You enough,”
because it's a lie from the pits below.
But I do guard myself from Your love.
I hide behind my lofty dreams
when You want to carry me above them.

I don't know Your plans.
You may want us to unite.
You may want me for Your Own.
You may have someone entirely
different set aside for me to love.
I want to want what You want for me.
Guide me through the garden.
Walk with me through the valley.
I believe;
now help me to be satisfied.
Another therapeutic piece over the same man. Written during the tail end of my heart's struggle to see him as a friend. Based on St. Anthony of Padua's "Be Satisfied With Me" meditation.
I've been forced
to swallow my pride
so many times
I'm turning to the Darkside,
coming up quick like that Anakin kid,
except I don't have a son so I won't give a ****
and the little light inside
won't have fuel to ignite
in times of dire strife.
