mel
i am here in my head
yet my Soul it still sleeps
in a mossy seabed
waking up each new morning
with dew covered hands
wrapped in cold mists of leftover
words in the sand
rubbing waves from my eyes
gazing up at the sky
asking for reasons why
time for us won't comply

why i grew Love in hues of
his foreign blue high
how i sang him hello
just to swallow goodbye
why i still feel the pull of
his ocean-filled eyes
how his lips drown my mind
in sweet saltwater tides

until deep down a voice speaks -
the smallest of kinds -
with a thought that's so subtle
it might pass me by
"this is as deep as it grows"
magic like this can’t be owned
"this is only a dream"
i must wake up and go
trust it's all for my growth

maybe next time i will not
make shorelines my home
i'll look inward for more
heal mySelf when i’m sore
realize all is reflecting
my own reservoir

Love can feel like a war
each time bickering more
but it's fighting to prove
i am all i look for
there's no such thing as a uninjured soldier

We all come back with some type of scar

Whether it's physical are mental

it's not always so obvious to see right where they are

our job is not for the faint-hearted

there were decisions that were made

some stories would never be shared

just know that history was changed

while fancy speeches are given and politeness is practice

those who are in power look to us to have an eye on the factions

those who operate in the Shadows are always aware

that there are only a few

that standing inbetween success and

failure knowing the odds and still

choosing to be there
I like to thank all military and your families for the sacrifice they have made for the country to ensure our freedoms.

Sierra
My stomach ties itself into knots
and forms into a hard lump
in my abdomen
and I wish I could throw it up
and throw it out
So I wouldn’t get sick
thinking about you
anymore.
She inspires and destroys,
She conquered, before the Viceroys.
Her power & beauty, in awe we see,
Mercurial, blossoming immortality.

Insidious fingers creep over the fence,
Leaving thriving forests, ever so dense.
Weaving for Earth, an elegant cloak,
Yesterday, to the truth I awoke.

She favors none & is never antique,
A surreal presence, ever so unique.
Leaves shrivel & flowers wither,
But time, her splendor does not tether.

The die has been cast, the battle lines drawn,
Nature gainst her destroyer, as she awaits the morn,
Look not so forlorn,

For tis from chaos nature brings,
Peace and order to all things.
#nature #beauty #immortality
wildly she blows through the bush tree
whirling their branches all around
whoosh in the speed of her push
whipping leaves with a fast moving lash*
wow what velocity she's showing us
whistling along as an express train
*we're eyeing unfettered blusters to-day

Seema
The lights getting dim
I am with him
In his arms
Embracing his charms
How romantic, this night
I feel am falling from a height
Landing on his chest
Oh yes, the feeling is the best
Our eyes drowning deep
As we get closer and closer
Consuming each others sleep
It's like time has stopped
For this moment only
Silently kissing, no more lonely
The rain showers, and the breeze blows
Over our wrap bodies as love flows
The way our bodies sway,
My eagerness automatically makes its way
I'm truly blessed to have him tonight
A perfect affection, a playful night
Lived each moment like there was no end
Only if I could remember the broken parts to mend
A dream so beautiful that rarely passes my night
Soon at day break, everything fades in the light....
