Revenge
Justine May 2015
Broken-hearted she stand,
Seeking for sweet revenge,
To destroy his future plans.

Cheating was his doing,
Without her knowing.
Didn't plan on revealing,
Wanted to keep her in the dark dwelling.

Didn’t want to admit,
He was the one unfit,
To be her missing bit.

With her intentions,
To strive for vengeance,
She creates new extensions,
Adding to her inventions.

As demolishing takes precious time,
To fix this awful crime.

Goodbye for now my friend,
This won’t be the end.
Bored.

Generation
Justine Apr 2015
This generation has become so lost,
The idea of perfect wrapped around,
Believing being perfect and better looking,
Is the only way out.

Because of this flaw and so much more,
We are the generation,
Who will teach our children,
To love and accept,
Everyone and everything,
No matter race, sexuality, weight or gender,
For being unique and original,
In their own special ways.

Because we know,
How much it hurts,
Being kicked and taunt,
To feel out of place,
Like somehow we just don’t belong,
And no one understands.

We are the generation,
Who will be there for our kids,
And let them know,
It’s alright to talk about their feelings.

We are the generation,
Who will not let them hide in the dark,
But bring them to the light,
Which is filled with delight.

We are the generation,
That will begin a new formation.

Relinquish
Justine Apr 2015
Grazing at the moon,
Thinking how time flew,

She wrote a note,
Her hands shaking wild,
“I’m sorry I didn’t say,
But my mind was messed up,
You couldn’t save me anyway.”

Holding a hidden blade,
Tightly with pain,
She drew a picture on skin,
Yearning,
Her life would expire soon.

Tightening the line around her neck,
A ghost smile played on her lips,
As she took her final breathe.

Now it’s all gone,
All over,
She’s greeting death.

Home* is where you feel safe and secure
And feel like you belong.

It doesn't have to be a place nor someone,
It could be books — reading for all I know.

As long as you're happy with it,
I'm glad to see you smile.
As you deserve it,
To be **happy
once in a while.

Heart and Head
Justine Jun 2015
It's a constant battle,
In my heart and head.

Give him a chance
Don't fall for his trance.

It's just a dance,
I'd rather be in France.

But look how ravishing he looks in his suit and pants,
I wouldn't even give him a second glance.

They say listen to your heart,
But you have to be smart
Or you're fall apart,
Having to repeat from the start.

Let's do us.
Justine Apr 2017
Let's do things out of randomness,
Without a reason.

Let’s wake up at 7am,
and join the grandparents at tai chi.
Let’s go to animal shelters and volunteer,
Let’s wake up at 4am,
and go to the nearest convenient store,
just to have our favourite matcha ice cream.

*Let's do us.

Little Girl
Justine Apr 2015
Scared.
Embarrass.
Insecure.
Unworthy.*

Those *four
words can mean so much,
To the little girl in black,
I saw yesterday.

She was lost in the reality,
Without confidency,
To face her agony,
Alone unhappily.
Dedicated to her, who's going through a rough time.

No Escape
Justine May 2015
She sat alone,
With no one to hold,
Everyone ignores,
Because she’s wasn't well known.

Crying night by night,
With her pillow hugging tight,
Nothing seems alright.

Putting up a fight,
Even when not in sight,
Every day is a fright,
Without the light.

Demons everywhere,
Battling in silence despair.

Screaming and yelling will get her nowhere,
She just wants to be elsewhere,
The pain is everywhere.

She won’t let them in,
The demons within.

As it’s all just in her mind,
She recites to the wind.

She won the battle,
Bidding the demons farewell.

But they would always be prepared,
Lingering and waiting to be declared.

Opposites attract
Justine Aug 2015
Rain and fire.
They drive each other insane.

Black and white.
They're face to face.

Venus and Mars.
They can't look eye to eye.

Being different stars.
They wouldn't have it any other way.
I don't even know if this makes sense

Cherry Tree
Justine Jun 2015
Sitting on the balcony,
Lost for centuries,
Staring at the unreality,
Of her insanity.

Gazing at the light,
Flashing back to the night.

Beyond the unknown,
Is what she behold,
Thoughts uncontrolled,
Curling up in the cold.

"Let's go, B!"
He called out to me,
I ran down with glee,
To our beloved cherry tree.
I really love the last paragraph of this poem. It's just so adorable in a way

"So you accept me?"
She asked in all honesty.

"Rejection was never an option."
He replied, smiling down at his girl.

Stop doing that
Justine Jun 2015
Stop putting words into my mouth,
Stop making me doubt my choices.
Stop changing my mind for me.
Stop manipulating.

I had enough.
Of your words and actions.
Enough of you.

Don't you see?
It's not bringing me down,
But teaching me the silence I seek.
You can't get to me,
I'd never allow it.

Thank you though,
For everything you did.
As now I can see,
What your ugliness did to me.

Strength

Death was never the answer,
They constantly reminded her.
She had to be tougher,
And rougher,
Or she’ll suffer.

Run.
Justine Jun 2015
I woke up one morning,
Before the crack of dawn,
Where the air was icy cold,
And the living were deadly silent.

Wanting to release this fire in me,
I did the only thing I could achieve.

The path blurred below me,
Blood pumping with adrenaline,
Thumps echoed in my ears,
Beats of sweat roll down my forehead.

And for a moment I felt invincible,
Like I myself was the only limit,
For nothing could stop me.

You.
Justine Jun 2015
You promised you'll come back
Just a couple days after her death.

I wonder where have you been,
Have you lost your way along the road
And stray away from the path?

It has been 15 years today,
Since you went your way.

She told me to give up hope,
That what you promise was all but a joke.

Maybe I should stop waiting by the window,
Trying to see your missing shadow.
