The sun paints me reverential.
My eyes virgins to it's remarkable light, I've been sightless for ages.
The rays travel from my tears to my soul,
I illuminate from the inside out.
My smile pours out, it's disingenuous counterpart cast aside
waiting.

Where have I been?
Patterns decorate my arms, red welts of chains that once were.
Why has the sadness gone?
It's scary to recognize impermanence.
Everything comes in cycles - this included.

All I can do is keep my eyes open for as long as I can this time around.
bye sadness.

you wanted me to show you so
i unzipped my chest
took out my heart
and displayed it in a glass case
i waited for you to speak but
you walked away instead.
i should have known
when you told me about your collection of hearts
it wouldn't stop
at mine.

sipping on something
stronger than water
is the only time
i can feel something
stronger.
I found a scribbled poem
The letters written by a hand too drunk to understand
There were only two words clear enough to read:
"All alone."

Oh my tender heart,
What will save you?
Barriers try to block my aim for success,
Threatening victory through destruction.

Visions of glory endure harm by persistence,
Pursuing achievements with passionate resistance.

Desires defy oppositions that halt progress,
As growth strives for productive advancements.

Positive results are on a hard mission,
In a struggle to withstand society’s defects.

Always rejecting shortcomings as factual terms,
Not allowing truths of reality define my aspirations.
