get closer to me
climb inside my tree
is it where you want to be?
I think, from what I can see

open your heart this time
feel it slowly make the climb
twisted all around this twine
I can help your ease unwind

listen closely, and you'll see
buzzing like a bumblebee
flowers feed your spirit free
have you floating in the sea

have your arms held open wide
there is no great divide
our spirits will collide
this time you cannot hide
because I love you

Ah! But the heart is not full when filled with ideas,
That is the mind!
And the heart does not grow cold,
that is your toes when walking through snow!
It does not burn in the sun like your skin,
It glows!
Ah, but the love the heart knows!

A squirrel has the capacity
To reclaim nuts from memory.
But they can't make
Peanut Butter
To smear themselves,
Or their nuts,
Like animals
For ***.

The Bottlenose
Is self-aware,
We noted in
His glassy stare;
When put before
A carnival mirror,
So covex, concave,
Too complex,
We also note
A confusing quiver;
The water's not
What makes him shiver.

Pigs are said to be
As smart as me
When I was three.
Now I'm four.

A chimp can nail
Two boards together,
To make
A cross;
We pray they
Don't redress
Their loss.

Whale song is said
To carry on
Beneath the blue
For 1 00 miles.
Its got a beat.
Do they
Do the ****,
Or slow
Whale dance.

Crows, you know,
Have studied us
For 10 000 years.
They're iconic,
Mythic tricksters
Cawing knowingly
Above our ears.
So much so
For 10 000 years.
10 000 more
Should we rot
So long.
If you come in the summer
do not leave
the moment the leaves begin
to abandon their trees
do not leave me
with your memory darkening
like an unfortunate tan line

If you come in the fall
do not leave
shades of red and yellow
embedded in my palms
do not leave me
contorting each syllable of your name
in search of warmth

If you come in the winter
do not leave
shaping me like a snow angel
born beneath your absence
do not leave me
heavy with guilt about
my inability to melt

If you come in the spring
do not leave
letting me bloom
under the artificial light
of your promises
do not leave me
thawing at your touch

If you come
do not leave
when the seasons change
do not leave me
pining for reason
do not leave me
do not come at all

Perhaps it was a one time ordeal.
Until that time again,
I won't know.
Words are Words-
Just give me something physical.
A chemical reaction.
I'm seeking for a fix...

you, a paved road
mine, a dusty path
 overgrown
they meet
we meet
they part
we part

The Wild Ones

They like to hold us on a leash
and chain our eagle wings.
They tell us we're stuck
and that we're never getting out.
They hate our rebellious spirits
and spit on our self-ruling dreams.
But darling, we're the wild ones,
and one day, we will be free.
one day the invisible bonds that tie me to this town will be broken and the world will be mine to see.

I practice careful observance,
Which involves taking time out of my day
To sit on a park bench;
Feeling and embracing brown colors, Brown confidence.

I peeled open the **** of an Extinguished cigarette
And examined its contents,
Assessed the components
Of what makes up happiness,
And its characteristic unattainability,
And wonder why there should exist a word that's impossible to perform.
And flicked away a bug complacently.

When contentless is so often reached,
What's the difference between passion And stability?

Forever existing as the bags under my eyes,
Keep flicking until it burns out,
Or so I tell myself.

oh little you,
much of glory
and downy dew,

do break the chasm:
darkness' fauld;
igniting passion
in cannies auld;

thy bitter petals
coalesced o' fear
that sting as nettle
when hand is near:

release as doe,
thy urgent bride–
to flowers shew;
in crimson dyed.
