I can't help but notice
How much harder
The rain hits my face
After I've sinned.
And if there's a God,
He hates me.
No prayer can acquit this hatred.
There's no hymn to heal my wounds.
I'm surprised I haven't burst
Into flames yet.
They'd probably dump water on me
And call it a baptism.
Reborn, renewed, refreshed, my child.
Who made that water so pure?
Who died and put you in charge?
Go ahead,
Recite your verses and preach your sermons,
But the "Body of Christ"
Is just a piece of bread.
This is in no way a poem to offend or disrespect the beliefs/religion of others, just my personal thoughts on the subject; please don't take it that route.
They judge how you live,
and once you're dead,
they judge how you died.
I remember the days when you were but a faint echo
Far into oblivion, softer than my mother's song.

When I would yearn for your gaze as the air that fills my lung,
As needy for the bread that could feed my soul.

Sitting under the shade of spring's bloom, I turn to another page of life
You are but a quiet whisper, now my joy, in its sweetest tone.

And in ocean's tide, a lover's song to silence the storm
In the light of the rising sun, I touch your face as I find what I lost.

Time stops to this moment's own, as I lay my head on your shoulders, strong,
What pain can seek me till time's end, if by your side I am everything I dream of.
The beauty of a woman
is in the poems she's wrote,
the dreams she's weaved
and all the stories she's told.

The beauty of a woman
is in the adventures she's taken,
the lives she's touched
and all the minds she's awakened.

The beauty of a woman
is in the caring she gives,
the sincerity in her laughter,
and the passion in her griefs.

It's not the expensive clothes she owns,
her body size, the diamonds she's worn.
Measure not the beauty of woman in gold,
for the beauty of a woman is reflected in her soul.
Dedicated to all women out there with an amazing mind and a beautiful soul. We are the gift of nature, soft enough to touch the core of others and strong enough to protect that and those important to us. I love you all. Believe in yourself and the world will believe in your power.

I'm honored to have it as the daily poem.
Mother, Father
I am six foot one and I can see over the trees
I can **** mountains and bury my bones in the soil
I am six foot one and I am just tall enough to see the truth
I can look over others but I can't look over myself
My shoulders bend like a bow, waiting to break
And I can feel it all. I can feel it all.

And to you,
May your temporary smile be a golden forever
And your heart existent with or without hope
Let your brain open doors your hands cannot touch
And your chest not collapse when the smoke is too much
To live and to love with you is the grandest adventure
And to cut myself on your edges, bleeds into itself
And to live in your heart, is the biggest place I've ever found
And to kiss you until my hands break and there is no sound

And to all of us,
We're a dark piece of trash
Ribs are a cage and holographic souls sing
Disenchanted by the human experience
We're pretentious and objectify everything

And to all of us,
We're all light, we're all eyes wondering wide
And we all shine bright, some of us cannot hide
May your hands slant, slowly slinging
towards the bells that are slowly ringing
and may you strike a chord in all of us.
May your existence be a temporary forever.
a cold ribbon of thought
its blackheart birth on the lips
of a madman whos eyes follow the truth
with skyrocket perfection
tell me about this dark thought you keep dreamin
together we can set this sinking ship aright
together we can unsink the dreams we had as children
the cold ribbon looks like a medal pinned
looks like a politicians smile
looks like a madman's eyeball
see the crazy light it gives off
feel the winter's breath in its gaze
entertain me with its song

here it comes again
looks so friendly
but look at the trail of empty lives it leaves
no matter what happens don't let me end like them
promise you take care of it
don't let em leave me an empty shell
gasping for air at some roadside death carnival
tapping my foot to some horrible song
put a bullet to my head so i don't end up like them
here it comes again look out
like some worm of the wasteland
like a smile lie in the darkness
looks like a lover but its a feeder

a cold ribbon of thought
calculating its next move with carefree abandon
look there see that girl
watch as the light in her eyes dies
watch as they **** the life out of her
the dreams cherished make a tasty meal
the hope so carefully crafted just in one bite
come on we can beat this thing
tell me this dark dream so we can unsink this ship
we can get away
slip away in the heartbeat of night
with the grace of the sullen eye
shallow *****
