And I had to walk away
I was just hoping at least he noticed I didn't run
the title is a thought for after the poem

Opposites* attract, but we're one in the same.
Brown eyes meet green, saying words our mouths won't.
He nods like he understands and I almost ask him to explain it to me.
Almost, because I nod like I get it too. I don't though
It's clear to both of us how blurry all of this is.
It's easy to see how hard it is to understand.
It's nice to think how bad it could be.
Its odd how normal it feels.
Though it couldnt feel more right to be somewhere so wrong,
I love that I hate to love everything about us.

Never leave me in a place you can find
Hang up your curtains to shield me from the sun
I am your darkest secret
You better keep me in a place you can’t find
Never find me bleached from the sun
I am your darkest secret
Don’t let me rest in your head
Bury me in the ground instead
I am your darkest secret
Don’t let me ever be found
I really don't know why I wrote this or what this even is. My fingers just started typing and I let them.

Her skin was pale
as if she had never seen the sun or bathed in its rays.
She was starting to resemble a monster,
bones protruding like barbed wire
trapped under her lifeless skin.

For her, time had slowed down,
making her move like an old lady
at the age of fifteen

All color had been drained from her world.
Her dreams were vibrant as ever,
but at the rate she was going they would be forever just that.
Dreams.

She was wasting away,
Dangerously close to end up in a grave.
Her smile was forgotten by everyone.
by everyone but me
