I spoke in nervous tones
On the day of your death
And found myself lacking all sensory depth

Some time next Spring
All the flowers eroded
And I couldn’t care less

I looked at my reflection and saw everything I hated
In the form of where you used to stand
And what was now left in its place

Gaunt and bitter
I adorned your absence
Like a crown
Hollow as my chest

You're a shovel.
Digging a deep hole in my chest.

I can feel my every breath
whirling around with no way out.

Make it stop.

I want a love that would go a long way.
Maybe forever is a lie but then we'll discover everyday—everyday falling in love deeper and deeper.
I want us to break down boundaries,
establish realities then maybe, in the future, have a family.
I want our love to be different.
It may not be as sweet nor poetic as others are but with you I know everything will be fine.
I want to prove something, not just words.
Never mind their stares let them see our flames.
Let them burn at our intensity, let them envy our fervor.
I want you to be mine and mine alone.
I want you to
pull me closer
grip me tighter
maybe kiss me someday

O my love let me drown you in the ocean of my undying love.
Let me be your north star as you voyage in these waters.
Your anchor holding you in place when all the world is in chaos.
Your lullaby filling you with pleasant dreams.
Your wings letting you soar the skies.
Familiar paths
are not always
the best ones

They say the definition of insanity is
continually doing the same  thing
over and over again and expecting
a different result.

I sit, my legs knotted
Matching, an esophagus
Paralyzed, affecting vocal cords,
Twisted, ripped, torn.
An attacked heart,
Damaged, dying.
And you hit me,
With what was once,
A caress, a stroke,
An attack of,
Equal force, to the,
Mind,
My brain paralyzed.
A mute child
Wrapped cashmere self,
Always, those nails, red,
Chipped.
The polish fragments,
Breaking ,
pieces
pieces
pieces
Cracks appearing,
Dispersing, remnants,
Of what once,
Was, whole.
A voice, a self, a soul,
That did not need,
to be made,
undone.
For I left,
you,
A place, a space,
A dwelling hole,
Where your lips,
Had once,
Given colour to,
The china cups,
With their lingering smell,
Of Jasmine,
Thé vert à la rose.
As,
Tea stains,
Sojourn memories,
Leave their mark.
A day of remembrance,
Prominence given, to,
That moment,
You, left.

let's be water
and flow where we want
go where we wish
and fall till were gone

let's be sand
and lay till we can’t
sit where we stand
as I crawl to your hand

let's be ice
and go where its cool
live like we rule
the world is no fool

let's be fire
and burn till we’re cold
flicker to the beat
with the rhythm and soul

let's be air
and float through the sky
stop all our cares
and go where its high

let's be rocks
and last forever we will
roll around and fall down
without a care in the world

let's be trees
and live as long as we last
grow taller than the highest mast
and give love at every pass

let's be flowers
and grow where there’s grass
love with our hearts
and let go of the past

let's be flowers and grow where there’s grass
I sent the line "lets be flowers and grow where there's grass" to my very best friend, we were talking about who and what we could be, and or going to be one day.
She was very satisfied with bing a flower. ha.

She had all the bases covered.
A star shining on each hip,
red hearts on each lip,
a tear under one eye,
rings on her toes
& a half moon
under each nip,
hardened
as I sipped
from her cup.
