She sailed into a new horizon
Alone and more scared
Than she had ever been

But she had to believe
Something more was out there.
Now what?
I don't know
Where you wander,
I will go.
On to Hell
And back again
Through the rain
And through the wind.
Onward, forward
Carry on
Though days are harsh
And nights are long
Beside, behind
Weak or strong
There with you's
Where I belong.
~

there is weeping
in the streets,
a cry heard on
the boulevard,
the place where
lovers meet;
no charge for this
performance,
for cover paid
can never save
the wounding
of this soul;
this act, no lore,
’tis their making...
become their theatre,
this act of war.
as arms outstretched,
awaiting hope
that never comes,
slowly die alone,
losing grip
on life
once clenched;
no more beating,
all lay bleeding
in the street
far below.
this place where
horror falls,
like darkness
'til their bodies,
one by one
are gathered up;
our heart in pieces,
their blood spilled
on the ground,
we lay flowers
here at home,
and on the hillsides
as we weep for you,
here across the sea,
as we watch
your fading light,
oh Paris, where
it's raining tears,
with you we,
the dawn await,
the coming mourning.

how is a poet to act, to think, to feel when there is such devastation as this?  we can only bleed in ink on page, as snippets of news, pictures, unedited video, all... paint a picture of horror, leaving behind brokenness and tears that will flow endlessly. oh Paris, we grieve for you... with you... over you!
There once was a woman
Who had three daughters
The eldest, Rain, was often moody, but always caring
The middle child, Sun, was cynical and hot-headed
The youngest, Wind, was free spirited, but often clumsy and careless

There once was a woman
Whose three daughters ran away
They ran
Until they could run no more

Then they lay on the forest floor
And melted into the dirt
Never to be seen as little girls again

There once was a man
Who loved a woman
Who loved three girls
Who melted into the dirt

There once was a couple
Who cried when it Rained
Who screamed when it was Windy
and who sobbed when it was Sunny

There once was a couple
Who simply gave up
And melted into the dirt
i want you to destroy me.

take the jagged pieces of my puzzle like body, apart.

cut down the flowers i've grown in my lungs and douse my dreams in kerosene, burning them all.

i beg of you, construct a black hole and watch as it swallows up the billions of stars that once occupied my now blank stare.

COMPLETELY obliterate me and never look back.

leave me in pieces, scattered amongst those of your past lovers; forgetting about me like you forgot about them.

for this is what it seems you heard me say when i softly whispered that i was in love with you.
The hate is killing me.

These cigarettes hate you.
This beer hates you.
These shots of brandy hate you.
The blunt hates you.

But I swear I still love you.
