8th grade I read you—
suicidal Plath—

in front of my class.
"Edge" was the poem.
"Lady Lazarus" would've fit you better.

Funny, how when you unraveled,
blonde hair, hazel-eye, stripes on your thighs,

I heard the same cry and turned away, because
I hated the color red.

Clinical depression,
                                  what a joke.

Pills, razors, approaching finale.
And I, merciless beast, ignorer of tears

covered my eyes.
Ignorance is ****:

it's real warm,
and hey,

You gave me a bracelet last year
(I've given you nothing.)
Don't die on me now, okay?
A lot of stories have been told about people that cry out. People that are kind-hearted, empathetic, sensitive, beautiful in all their scars. She's still here today, beautiful in every way. She's still alive, but I'm not sure for how long. I really messed up. I'm really messed up. This is a poem about that, from my perspective as a horrible friend.

Rastislav
She was drawing,
not for anyone.
Not even for herself.

Just…
because her hands needed to move.
The pencil didn’t ask for approval.
It didn’t perform.
It just followed
 whatever was humming
  beneath her skin.

I’ve seen someone dance
 in the middle of cleaning.
Not to music.
Just to rhythm.

A private conversation
 between body and gravity
     where
      I was only
       accidentally
             invited.

There’s a holiness
 in the movements people make
when they don’t know they’re being seen.

Not holy because they’re beautiful.
But because they’re untranslated.

They’re not trying to mean something.
They just are.

I’ve started collecting these moments.
Not in pictures.
Not in notes.
Just
in the place behind my ribs
  where wonder stays
when it’s too quiet to name.

a sadomasochist was ill
she ate too many rainbow pills
a unicorn reflected in
her eyes, and armed with a big knife.

It stabbed and stabbed and stabbed and latched
(in triplet four-three signature)
her head with a large tesseract,
it laughed and danced to d-major.

It's the last straw, brawling into a strange             haul oh yes,
undress my dear page boy in the                watercress.
His sundew skin pierce within a               honey drop,
rock-hard bridge we blow            the hourglass
dynamite up flew too few                 refuse to shake
the earth, a plane,       kamikaze, tooooo late!
He runs, my panting                      rabbit, fly! I'll come
and put a     bullet     through you.

Maiden, oh maiden! Maiden of beauty,
Hath you longed to show such folly?
It's always sayonara, but to thee,
blonde beauty, au revoir.
Delicious dear, do spit it into me,
the ignominious cure.
Partially based off Hemingway's "For Whom the Bell Tolls", partially just insanity.

My queen! Inhale each grain of sand and reign!
Take all you touch: castles, footprints, poems
sung with muted cries of rasping pain.
Your servants await, bikini women and ******* men.

I stand knee-deep, each night you rise and fall,
stealing bits of me until all that remains
is an ivory statue studded with barnacle kisses.
A trip to the beach

Do your eyes refuse to stay with mine because you're
seeing some secret world privy to you alone?
Weathered hands create life: piano melodies,
washed laundry, poetry, pieces shared on the phone.

Nine years I've been dreaming: subconscious feelings of
forever, no longer divided by two cities
and seeing you every day, every year, a new home
unreached.
yay!

The city is dead
Like thunder shouting into
The infinite blue.
Heyyy i'm perhaps coming back! It's been a while and pretty busy with AP exams and all that. Also a loss of creative inspiration. What poetic form should I use next?
